Birthday shout out to twiggychic3! Her seafoam party dress is shockingly bright and perfect on her cute little figure. Pairing patent orange heels with this frock is a genius styling move.
Just when I thought someone magically popped the fashion bubble, we are back in bubble trouble. Designers and celebrities alike can't get enough of bubble hems. To be truthful, this is a look only a slim gal should attempt and heels lessen any negative bubbling of the body. Emma Roberts wore a dark and tailored Sass & Bide bubble dress, The Hills' Lo donned a colorful Ina Soltani bub, and Elizabeth Bank's Moschino bubbler was gray and subdued. I prefer the bubbles that have a tailored approach, at least it's a reinvention of the trend. Does anyone else wish this '80s trend would bubble over already?
Designer Isaac Mizrahi's time at Target is almost up (sniff) but he's got a little longer to dazzle us with his goods. What do you think about this Isaac Mizrahi for Target Couture T-Shirt Dress ($35)? It's certainly a cute concept but it can either look really good or really tacky in person. I do like the tulle-layered skirt. You?
There are lovers, haters, and there are admirers. Lauren Conrad has officially become a pop phenomenon. And she has remained unscathed along the way. Yes, there was rumor of a sex tape, but did it ever surface? No. This Summer alone, she has been promoting, and wearing, The Lauren Conrad Collection, she talked to us about an (affordable) accessory collection with Mark cosmetics, and she is designing a couture dress for the Emmy trophy ladies. All the while partying and filming the next season of The Hills — premiering tonight! And so, I wanted to throw together a montage of our favorite Summer looks. This girl rules the sidewalk, not the red carpet. LC feels most comfortable in casual, chic outfits; but she'll find her all around fashion groove. She is, after all, the most popular girl of the zeitgeist. You know her, the girl you love to hate, hate to love, but still admire.
It started with boots and now the floodgates have opened. Looks like you are gearing up for an amazing Fall transition. I like how everyone strayed away from the usual black and kept it colorful in beautiful, soft tones. The Fab Finder of the week is sgopen, her Mackage Knitted Leather Jacket is gray, leather, and perfect. I can see myself wearing this day or night — great find!
2008 Style Olympics: Brazil vs Norway It's day four of the 2008 Style Olympics and today we are judging the outfits of the beach volleyball teams. Obviously they wear quite skimpy outfits so there isn't much fabric to judge on but which do you prefer, Norway or Brazil?
I don't have to tell you that when there's a sale at Barneys, it's best to just take a look. I mean, how can you not not look?! I looked and found this Vena Cava Pandora Skirt in Pearl ($79, originally $298). How sultry would it be with a silk black tank and metallic sandals? But, for the better of my pocketbook, it's only available in a size 10. While there are many Barneys bargains, just keep an eye on the sizes, they are unpredictable. But still, have a lookie . . .
Kristin Cavallari went with a black-lace, bra-baring top at The Breeders' Cup Winners Circle Event in LA. She paired it with black skinny pants, and kept things neutral with beige patent pumps and a matching clutch.
