It takes exactly 272 pages to summarize Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's lives in their highly anticipated book dubbed Influence ($23). Featuring rare photos from the Olsens' private collection — some shot by famed photographer Rankin — along with exclusive interviews, the stylish duo unveils a side of themselves we've never seen.
The interviews will be with some of their favorite icons: "The most interesting, challenging, creative people we know — the ones who helped pave the way for us and our generation," said Ashley. Nab your copy on pre-sale today, I know I will.
Besides being a lover of fashion, I'm also an art fanatic. Every couple months I need a trip to the museum for inspiration, and must always look cute while perusing.
I asked your help in finding an artsy look, and started you off with this Luc Kieffer Resin & Chain Necklace ($385) because it's funky and might evoke a comment from a cute fellow art enthusiast.
Let's see what you all came up with!
Look # 1, created by carrothead, is art-tastic. The Pucci dress is a masterpiece.
Exchanging double kisses is not only standard in fashion circles, it's a sign of sisterhood (or brotherhood, depending). It's like a secret handshake among best friends. Nordstrom's Fall Designer Preview reminded me yet again of this, so I thought I'd provide a tutorial. Before your video lesson, it's important to know that French, Italian, Armenian, and other Mediterranean cultures do double kisses even outside of fashion events. And, unless you've been doing it since adolescence, it's hard not to fear bumping heads with your kisser. My advice is not to think too hard about it and let nature guide you. But first watch the video for specifics. xx
Last night's episode of Project Runway showcased a wide and interesting array of creations from the budding designers.
Like season two, the contestants were asked to design an outfit for a night out on the town inspired by the (wet) cityscape of NYC. While a couple designs blew me away — namely Leanne's Doo.Ri-esque dress — I wasn't impressed with the overall amount of creativity. Take a look at their designs and let me know what you think.

It's been a while since we Celebrity Styled Jennifer and she looks great! Her carefree, polished look was exhibited while shopping at Barneys. Sometimes you have to boil it down to basics. What really polishes off her tank and skirt combo is the gold accessories: a gold studded Givenchy handbag, a gold watch, and gold hoops. And how could Jennifer leave home without her namesake Tom Ford shades? Happy shopping, Jen!
Audrina Patridge looked cute and casual meeting Lo Bosworth to film upcoming scenes for The Hills in LA. Her acid washed jeans added some spunk to a basic look that consisted of cap-toe ballet flats and a white tank.
