It's your first day of work at a spankin' new job and you want to impress everyone with your fashionable ways. What should you wear? You don't want to look like you tried too hard, but you also don't want to come off looking like a slop.
We've all been in this situation, so I ask you: What would the perfect first day of work ensemble be? After all, first impressions leave a lasting memory.
I'll start you off with this Nixon Ivy Watch ($270). It's cool, you can set it to three jet-setting time zones, and the macho shape is sleek.
Let's go Fab Finding. Be sure to come back and tell me your Fab Finds are up, or just tag your Fab Finds with first day of work.
Now, you can build outfits by creating a list of clothing items. We have everything you need to build outfits, and you can use your Fab Find bookmarks, too. This is an even better way to put together an entire outfit when you are completing your Fab Finding missions.
Learn what a Fab Find is and how to make one. And here is a more detailed explanation of bookmarks from geeksugar.

As the song goes, " . . . they call me mellow yellow . . . ", but soon they'll be calling you mellow yellow. That's because this week's Fab Find's were in shades of dusty dandelion. Whether a cardigan, a leather jacket, or a pair of earrings, this chipper color feels very 70s but still modern. The Fab Finder of the week is jasmint, her yellow Lela Rose paillette tank takes the vintage vibe to another level.
Congrats to jasmint, longhornlass04, Lala77, and mcollazo!
Does gray matter? Of course it does. This seasonless hue is one of my favorite colors. I like how sandra werner made her outfit more casual by pairing her fitted skirt with a loose sweater. It looks haphazardly thrown on and effortlessly cool.
Here's what she has on:
- Sweater: Lily McNeal
- Tank: YAYA
- Skirt: Black Halo
- Shoes: Miu Miu
- Belt: Vince
- Necklace: Unknown
Congrats to sandra werner!
Everyone else, submit your looks and I might feature you on FabSugar!.
When you're wearing a plain ensemble, why not spruce things up with an exotic cover up? Just look to Nicole Richie (left) for inspiration. Her black tank and jeans combo is far from boring thanks to the colorful addition of her embellished, sheer cover up.
Word to the wise: You don't have to travel to the far East Indies to find this look. Check out your local flea markets to find the cheapest and best selection.

You thought you'd seen them all: Reusable shopping bags that practically every retailer sells now — but you have another option. its-laS-tik reusable bags ($14) are green, stylish, and bouncy.
Bouncy?
Unlike other canvas or cotton bags that don't stretch, its-laS-tik uses flexible fabrics that take the shape of its contents and move with you as you walk. You can double the load per bag but never feel the extra heaviness. Cool, right? What's cooler is the bags are manufactured by Hurricane Katrina survivors in New Orleans. For about $14 per 12" by 13" bag, you can take the stress off your shoulders and help those less fortunate make a living.
