2007 Grammy Awards

It was just a run of the mill gossip week until the very last moment and then, BAM, out of literally nowhere (right in the midst of wondering whether or not Britney had embarked on a vision quest in search of more rhinestoned men's accessories, as we hadn't seen her in a couple of days), the gal checks into rehab! Yay for healthy decisions! Moments later we learned that she immediately checked out of rehab! Boo for playing with our supportive well wishing emotions! Aaaand we're spent, but before that rollercoaster there was all of this:

• Leading up to um, that tour of a rehab facility, Britney's ex man proved himself to be a d-bag while she just couldn't make a decision about what she wanted to wear in the club.
• In a shocking turn of events, Lohan continued her streak of acting, and looking like a responsible young lady. So she was set free from rehab.
• Jessica and John kept it mellow in the midwest, but they weren't the only celebs spotted by you all.
• Love really was in the air, wasn't it?
• American Idol narrowed down to 24. We told you our picks, now fill out a ballot and tell us yours.
• Some celebs premiered some movies. It was thrilling. We swear.
• Remember the Grammys? Yeah, they were this week, too.
• Miss the funniest moments on TV this week? Well it's lucky you've got us, now, isn't it?
• And now...it's onward and OSCARward!!

Nick and Vanessa obviously decided to steer clear of anything remotely Simpson at that other Grammys post-party, but don't worry about those two, they still found a happening soiree to attend. This party, hosted by Queen Latifah (I swear, she was there) was the locale for late night drinking for a bunch of celebs including Ludacris, Kanye West, Some Destiny's Children aaaand Ryan Phillippe? Cool. He is quite the man on the town these newly-single days, isn't he? To be honest, though, I'm with him on the choice of parties. This one looks way more fun than that Beyonce snoozefest.

Never one to miss a party, Diddy showed up with quite an entourage to the Warner Music Group Grammy After Party. But before the awards, his late arrival to JT's pre-Grammy party caused a stir with the cast of Grey's Anatomy. Apparently T.R. Knight, Kate Walsh, and Sara Ramirez were told to leave when Diddy found them sitting at his table. Page Six Reports:

A spy said, "Puffy was supposed to sit in the same VIP area that had four tables - two were for him and two were for the 'Grey's Anatomy' cast. But he was very, very late, and there are a lot of 'Grey's' castmembers, so T.R., Kate and Sara were at a table set up for Puffy."

Combs' bodyguard was a little heavy-handed.

"This guy goes up to T.R., Kate and Sara and started demanding - 'Get out! Get out now! Move it!' - T.R. was furious," our spy who was in the same VIP section said.

The spy added that Combs and Knight exchanged words before the "Grey's" cast were led away to another table.

Even though Diddy is the king of the VIP section, this seems a little harsh. Supposedly he didn't recognize TR before sicking his bodyguard on the unsuspecting interns. Sounds like someone needs to catch up on his Greys.

Ay Karumba! Get a load of Pink at the Grammy Awards last night. Her bodacious bod was gorgeously slim and toned, her dress was both classy and sexy and her hair was styled in true punk rock fashion.

Yet what really stood out to me was her girly and perfectly balanced makeup. The dark, sultry eyes offset by her flawless skin and pretty pink (no pun intended) lips was a surprising look from this alternative chick.

Beyonce may have played host at the People party last night after the Grammys, but she didn't call it a night at that event. After her duties were over, she headed off to the Sony/BMG party to meet up with non-Grammy winners the Simpson Sisters, and Grammy winners the Dixie Chicks, John Legend and Carrie Underwood. (Someday Simpsons, someday.) The red carpet is all well and good, but the real excitement came inside the party in the form of a little photoshoot displaying a certain new couple (hint: it's Jessica and John Mayer...and they look amazing).

Right, so when John stumped the world (you know, other than those who speak Japanese, and btw, I'd like to know if he was saying everything correctly) on the red carpet, with his "you'll be the last to know" bit he actually meant "you'll all know in a couple of hours." Nice.

The real fun of the awards season is the after parties (or so I hear) and last night Beyonce hosted one of the hottest. People's post party held court for a put-together (and uber skinny, yikes) Tara Reid, a demure-in-the-front-party-in-the-back Beyonce, a typically enamored Christina/Jordan two-headed lovefest and a rather mature looking Mischa Barton, among others. It's a good thing they all look smashing, too, considering how many post-party multi-colored carpets these folks had to walk last night. Stay tuned for lots more.
