This year at the 49th Grammy Awards, rock stars like Shakira, Hilary Duff and Christina Aguilera made frizz look fierce! While most of us shudder at the thought of fly-aways, these gals aren't afraid to flaunt their fros.

Frizz is caused by many things; namely chemical over processing, blow drying too much or over exposure to chlorine. Also, the use of products in your hair that contain high contents of alcohol such as mousse, gel, hairspray can cause frizz. The Grammys got off to a great start last night with The Police performing Roxanne. Sting was in tip-top shape both musically (and physically!). JT also looked fantastic, of course, except for when he got all up close and personal with the camera. Thankfully he did not use it in his second performance with the lucky winner of the My Grammy Moment, Robyn Troup. Other fantastic performances included Shakira, John Mayer, John Legend and Christina Aguilera. We thought Christina forgot her red lipstick but luckily it was just for her red carpet look. Overall, the show really had something for everybody! What was your favorite part?

Winning is fun! Press rooms probably not so much, but the celebs still sit (or stand, as the case may be) through the pain. Plus, they get to test out all of those how to pose funny with award statue stances they obviously practice at home. Or, if you're Mary J, just set that junk on the floor (she's got enough of 'em, after all). Also, pretend you're listening to the phonograph = hilarity.

The ladies proved that you didn't have to have a microphone or a guitar to rock the Grammys last night. All you had to have apparently was a short metallic dress! The great thing about the Grammys is stars tend to get a little riskier than at the other awards shows. If you weren't shiny than you were glowing with gold. Scarlett sparkled about something else last night, especially when E!'s Giuliana DePandi asked the question on all our minds, what is up with her and Justin? She had only this to say:

"We have a lot of friends in common, and Justin's a sweetheart, and it's always good to see him, but there's a lot of speculation and I try not to read that stuff. I think when two people are single and are seen together, it's immediately like a crazy feeding frenzy."

It sure is Scarlett. Thanks for feeding us. Did anyone notice how she didn't say they weren't seeing each other? Very interesting! We know they are so doing it. Okay, back to the awards. While I suppose you have to give props to any guy that thinks outside the red carpet box, somehow it's the more traditional dressers that end up looking the best. Just go with a suit and appropriate shoes (looking at you, Mayer), dudes, and you can't lose. Meanwhile, the red carpet got a little wild (relatively) last night when Ryan asked Mayer about Jessica. John answered in Japanese, challenging Seacrest to get a translator. Wanna know what he said? Here's more:

"Take it to another room, find a Japanese person, decode it, and you'll have an answer," the singer replied sarcastically before abadoning Seacrest to the crunky crowd. (Seacrest took him up on his offer, later revealing that Mayer said "She is very beautiful – and youll be the last to know.")

Okay, that's sweet and they're definitely dating. Pretty sweet, if you ask me.

Oh, and John Legend, no time to tie the bowtie? It's okay, you can pull it off. And so can your lady of choice.

The Grammy Awards have come and gone, but before there were winners and losers, Clive Davis threw his annual bash for the beautiful and lucky nominees. Overall, everyone looked gorgeous as Ashlee Simpson continued to morph into someone else entirely (albeit a good looking someone else) and Rihanna showed off those famous curves (the dress may, in fact, be painted on). But seriously girls, can we lay off the Tang-inspired skin tone?

I had a feeling that since it was the Grammys we would be treated to some over the top fashions and I was right! The first trend I noticed off the bat was glitterati. Everyone was sparkling! We all know metallics are a huge trend and it is so very red carpet worthy. Petra Nemcova looked like a femme bot in her silver metallic mini dress while Paula Abdul chose a sequin-paneled gown by Valentino. I rather liked Hilary Duff's gold and black Dolce & Gabbana sequined slip dress that most of you hated!
