2007 Teen Choice Awards

Here's how my style emotions ran during the Teen Choice Awards arrivals on the green-grass carpet: Jessica immediately brightened my mood, as well as Hilary and her super sequined frock. Then I got a little bored, dinner break, then hello Fergie! You know I'm not the biggest fan, but she stole my heart with her polka dots. Annabelle is just snoozing away...and then a stunning Andrea Bowen jolts her awake! Chap Stick application, potty break. Finally, LC graced us with her presence and her color story is fresh and Fab. Just when I was wrapping up and planning tomorrow's outfit, Sophia steals the spotlight. Hits and misses, just like any other awards spectacle, but these teen queens were the best in show. Avril Lavigne seems to bring out strong passions in people. Either they think she's a cool punky pop star or a cheesy wannabe—there doesn't seem to be much room for other opinions when it comes to this Canadian! But I'm curious to see if her hair and makeup are as polarizing. At the Teen Choice Awards, she slicked on the heavy black eyeliner and puffed up her pink-and-blonde hair in a quasi-bouffant. Who is this checkerboard chick and what did she do with Sophia Bush? I don't care who it is, she just stole the cake! Seriously though, the actress has never looked so Fab in her black and white checkered strapless mini dress. I love it! Do you?

Is Miley Cyrus a fan of Chanel? Judging by her metallic eyeliner—a look that was huge on Chanel's spring runway—I'm guessing yes!

Miley and her makeup artist were smart to tone down the application so it's more age-appropriate. The metallic liner opens up the inner corner of her eye, and the black cat-eye effect is very sophisticated. What do you think?

It wouldn't be a night of awards shows on the Sugar network without one of our favorite girls: LC! Here is the Queen of The Hills in a - not surprising - bubble-hem dress - with sweetheart neckline from her very own Lauren Conrad collection, but what is a pleasant change is the teal color and citrusy skinny belt. LC seems to wear a lot of black and blahs so it's fun to see her turn up the oomph. What do you think?

Well, it's safe to say that when it comes to primping for the red carpet, guys have it easier than the ladies. Look at these hairy dudes at the Teen Choice Awards: They look like stand-ins for the Brawny Man!

Granted, Jason Lee is wearing his My Name Is Earl 'stache and Apolo Anton Ohno has been rocking the soul patch for a while, but now Ryan Reynolds and Jonah Hill are busting out the beards. Maybe they're all preparing for National Beard Month in November. Tell me, whose facial hair looks best?

I'm usually one for men who dress rough around the edges, but for some reason Ryan Reynolds isn't floating my boat here. He looks too casual, like he's at a backyard barbecue. I dig his white shirt, cuffed jeans and brown boots but not for the Teen Choice Awards. Do you agree?
