Fab Ad: Dolce & Gabbana Pre-Fall 2008

Road trip! Jessica Stam, Caroline Trentini, and their fine male companion David Gandy are all cruising together for Dolce & Gabbana's Pre-Fall 2008 ad campaign.

Road trip! Jessica Stam, Caroline Trentini, and their fine male companion David Gandy are all cruising together for Dolce & Gabbana's Pre-Fall 2008 ad campaign. Only this isn't a regular road trip with junk food and festive mixes. Jessica and Caroline are infancy getups and David in a dapper suit. Who knows where they're headed? All I know is that it's a dangerously appealing situation; I wouldn't mind going along for the ride. Would you?

On Our Radar: eLuxury Carries Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall Collection

Listen up! eLuxury just went into business with Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough.

Listen up! eLuxury just went into business with Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough. Pieces from Proenza Schouler's Pre-Fall 2008 collection are available to purchase exclusively online at eLuxury, but be sure to bring a stack of cash because these babies don't come cheap.

A sleeveless crew neck waisted dress goes for $1,350; a shrunken blazer is $1,450, and a crew neck jacket with exposed lining (left) is $1,450. I can't dish out that kind of dough, but you better believe I'll be window shopping . . . virtually!

More, More, More Fab Pre-Fall!

Ok, I couldn't resist.
More, More, More Fab Pre-Fall!

Ok, I couldn't resist. I hope you all liked the peek at Pre-Fall I provided the other day. And I couldn't help but bring you more. As said before, it looks like Fall will be all about looking grown up — which doesn't mean fun doesn't exist. Au contraire. Designs are crisp, sculptured and tailored, while silhouettes are long and lean. Or, they are dramatic with a full fur coat or meaty skirt. Separates seem to be replacing the dress, though the stunning turquoise Monique Lhuillier in the slide show is a Fab favorite. Also, brown is re-emerging after a long hiatus. Bringing you more, more, more Pre-Fall . . .

A Peek at Pre-Fall

The Pre-Fall collections have been quietly underway, but are definitely worth mentioning. They have been gaining more popularity as a preview of what's to come for Fall. Since Fall '08 is right around the bend, here are some observations . . .

Fashion continues to be all about the lady, and no tramp. Grey seems to be the new favorite canvas color, as well as matte black; prints are mixed, poppy, artsy and colorful. Neutrals are gorgeous too. Sleeves are cropped and experimentation with volume brings it to an even more wearable place. Coats, fur, belts and skirt suits are a plenty. Fab favorites: Michael Kors and his Hitchcock babes, Missoni, Louis Vuitton's mismatching, Proenza's body conscious creations and Versace's sharp lines.

Oscar De La Renta

Pre-Fall 2008: Oscar de la Renta

If you're a gal who prides herself on being fashion-forward — and I know you are — thank your lucky Oscars.

If you're a gal who prides herself on being fashion-forward — and I know you are — thank your lucky Oscars. Oscar de la Renta, fresh off of his Penelope Cruz dress of success, gave editors and more remotely us a special taste of what's to come. I'm foreseeing full A-line skirts, uber florals, and lots of bright colors come Fall 2008. Metallics and ruffles are also still staying in the cards.

Oscar prides himself on dressing the lady, and I have to say: what a Fab well-dressed lady she is!
