While some Spring shows had us scratching our heads, Etro's collection had us saying, "Must. Have. Now." One of the factors, besides the ethnic weave skirt, that contributed to our drooling were the fringe sandals. Fringe sandal/boots were also spotted, but the wedges are much more wearable in hot climates. Too bad they're too expensive to be picked off the runway and brought straight to my feet.

Flares are back! It didn't take long for us to see flared pants back on the runway. Not just limited to jeans; flares have taken on new prints, textures, and colors. Balmain (left) went boho-rocker in a blue and white tie-dyed number paired with a glam sequined top. This retro-inspired look is easy to wear and flattering on almost every body. I for one, am glad to see flares back in action — are you?
I was wrapping up my workday when an unexpected package arrived at my desk. Oh my, it's from Net-a-Porter! I ripped rapidly and came face to face with a medium black book titled Notes, Volume 5. The cover didn't do much explaining so I flipped through, and a found a treasure at my fingertips. You too can get your hands on this free, limited-edition treasure when you buy from the retailer. It has up-to-the-minute info on the Spring/Summer trends, glossy editorials, and a fun article about Studio 54.
One of the coolest parts? It provides a product number next to each item, so you can easily shop the item online. Notice I said one of the coolest; the fancy stickers of runway photos and must-have accessories take the cake. It's no secret this Spring is set to be saturated with color. Lanvin got the inspiration rolling by placing their deliciously bold party frocks in a painterly setting. Renaissance colors embolden the wildflower background and set off the vividly colored dresses and the model Olga Sherer's pale skin. Photographer Steven Meisel was an absolute visionary in his approach. These may be some of my favorite ads of the season — what about you?
