The Met's Costume Institute Gala: Leighton Meester

Gossip Girl Leighton Meester bravely walked the red carpet wearing a psychedelic paisley print avant-garde confection by Louis Vuitton.

Gossip Girl Leighton Meester bravely walked the red carpet wearing a psychedelic paisley print avant-garde confection by Louis Vuitton. The dress and matching tights are a little over the top for my liking, but props to Meester for trying new things. Satin Louis Vuitton ankle wrap pumps (Victoria Beckham wore a similar pair ), jeweled bangles, and cherry-red lips top her doll-like ensemble. Do you love it or hate it?

The Met's Costume Institute Gala: Liv Tyler

Lovely Liv looks every bit the part of a '40s screen siren — with a bit of '80s eye makeup for a twist.

Lovely Liv looks every bit the part of a '40s screen siren — with a bit of '80s eye makeup for a twist. The smoky eye is more surprising when it's done in shades of blue, and shiny raspberry lips make the most of Liv's pretty pucker. (Also, I want her perfect eyebrows.) Do you love this ladylike look, too?

Eva Longoria and her hubby Tony walked the red carpet together tonight. Eva is no stranger to looking sultry, so it's not surprising that her Diane von Furstenberg dress has a huge cleavage-revealing keyhole. A metallic chain-link necklace toughens her up a smidgen. Verdict?

The Met's Costume Institute Gala: Ivanka Trump

Ivanka Trump doesn't need much to stun, but a little Brian Reyes never hurt anyone.

Ivanka Trump doesn't need much to stun, but a little Brian Reyes never hurt anyone. Her nude tulle gown exudes beautiful sophistication. Note how the slim back belt calls attention to her waist — nice. For accessories, Ivanka chose silver drop earrings and bangles from her own jewelry line, satin Christian Louboutin peep-toe pumps, and Judith Leiber clutch. What do you think?

The Met's Costume Institute Gala: Kate Bosworth

It seems that Kate Bosworth may have used old Hollywood as her inspiration — instead of the models as her muse — for her look tonight.

It seems that Kate Bosworth may have used old Hollywood as her inspiration — instead of the models as her muse — for her look tonight. She was the spitting image of Veronica Lake. Her long, open curls called to mind the actress of the '40s, and her makeup was just as stunning (though not as reminiscent since Lake's films were in black-and-white). What do you think of Miss Bosworth's glamorous look? Do you like that she tried something more retro, or would you have preferred a more current look like Rihanna?

The Met's Costume Institute Gala: Kate Beckinsale

She dabbled with some blunt bangs earlier this year and she's been known to wear a sleek updo or two, but it looks like Kate's sticking to her signature look tonight, which includes long, flowing waved locks and soft makeup.

Perhaps this time around, however, she's taken it up a few notches with a bit more dark eyeliner on the waterline of the eyes. So, what do you think of this beautiful Brit's look tonight? Does she wow you with her beauty choices or are you longing for just a bit more?

It's long, fitted, and black — almost Morticia Addams-style — but has white panels on both sides and some sequins up top. And check out that huge keyhole in the back. Do you love or hate?
