As a self-confessed Lady Gaga fan, I was really excited to see her makeup and hair changes at the Grammys last night, and she didn't disappoint. In case you missed the show or want to get a good, long look at what she was actually wearing, I put together this slideshow of her various styles from last night. People are going to be talking about them around the water cooler for weeks to come, so click through and check them out.
Let's step away for a moment from all of the hair and makeup looks from last night's 2010 Grammy Awards and focus in on nails. Lately, it seems like the trend in nail polish during this award season has skewed on the nude side, like at the SAG Awards, where a naked nail trend emerged. As for the Grammys last night? Leave it to these fashionable songstresses to bring us colorful, unique looks in the nail polish arena. Can you guess who wore what polish?
The red carpet at last night's Grammy Awards was full of ladies looking fantastic in their gowns, especially your current pick for best dressed Lea Michele. There were a few frocks that didn't exactly sparkle, though, despite being worn by gorgeous women. So, tell us — who do you think was the worst dressed at the Grammys?
Well, wonder no longer. Kimberly Kimble, the stylist who created the look, says that she worked Bella Via Hair Glitz (prices vary) into Beyonce's hair. I thought the metallic ribbon strands were actually Bling String, but it appears the tinsel in question was something a little more high end. And why the sparkle highlights? Kimberly says she added them as an accent to match Beyonce's Minx manicure. So there you have it.
The ratings are coming in for the 2010 Grammys, and they're up! This year's telecast earned 35 percent more viewers than last year, giving the award show its best viewership in at least five years. How come? My money is on the performances of the evening, which felt even more spectacular than in the past. Between Michael Jackson's 3-D tribute, and Pink spinning from the ceiling, there was plenty to ogle. Ready to recap the biggest ones of the night? Let's go over them, and tell me what you think: love it or leave it?
Taylor Lautner stepped out in leather last night to attend a Grammys afterparty at a house in the Hollywood Hills. He wasn't at the awards to walk the red carpet or to take in the performances, but Taylor joined the likes of Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan and Ryan Phillippe in celebrating post-show. Taylor left the bash alongside a blond friend, who received a very public embrace good-bye in front of the photographers. His ex Taylor Swift had a big night with four wins amid rumors she's moving on with John Mayer. Today Taylor and his Twilight buddies were nominated multiple times at this year's Razzies — Taylor himself was recognized for his work alongside Kristen Stewart as Worst Onscreen Couple — and we're giving away a trip to Robert Pattinson's Remember Me premiere in NYC!
Awards season is a great time to preview the trends that will mark the next season for hair and makeup, because celebrities and makeup artists always want the freshest looks for their red carpet appearances. The Grammys boasted several strong trends this year, and some stars wore multiple trends at the same time. (Lady Gaga managed to wear almost all of them, unsurprisingly.)
