2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards Trend

Accessorizing a gown for a red carpet event usually means finding glittery jewels to go with it. But last night's SAG Awards brought another accessory trend into the mix with cool skinny belts and black ribbons cinching waists. Claire Danes countered her frilly floral Louis Vuitton with a buckled belt, Mila Kunis belted her McQueen dress with a matching skinny belt, and Lea Michele cinched her '70s-inspired Oscar de la Renta with a metallic belt. Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence and Christina Hendricks both went bolder with bow-tied, black ribbon belts. This is a red carpet accessory trend I'm absolutely loving, but with so many ways to wear it, it's not easy to pick a favorite. I'm leaving that to you — who wore the belt trend best?

2011 SAG Awards Trend: Belt It

Jennifer's belt plays perfectly against the hot pink.

Lea — I love how subtly her belt plays up her look.

Eva Longoria chose a Grecian-inspired Georges Hobeika; Natalie Portman dressed her bump in a strapless Azzaro; and Lea Michele shimmered in a sequined Oscar de la Renta gown. Meanwhile, Winona Ryder opted for volume via a ruffled and tulle confection, and Amy Adams kept it super sleek in Hervé Leroux.
