Calvin Klein designer Francisco Costa showed pieces that prove you can be sexy without showing off absolutely everything — the designer sent loose, hourglass-shaped frocks and pleated pants down the runway, sticking to a chic, sensible color palette of black and off-white, with a few pops of red thrown in. The perfect wardrobe for working women — or the girl who wants to invest in one piece to wear forever — Costa's Fall collection was decidedly modern, with a hint of mystery and subtle seduction. We saw both gold and burgundy eyes and nails at Badgley Mischka this Fashion Week, and now another designer has successfully pulled off a nails-and-eyes matchup. At Milly's Fall 2012 show, models walked the runway with smoldering blue-toned eye makeup paired with deep navy polish. It was a colorfully cosmopolitan creation that's just begging to be tried.

Emma Stone and Rooney Mara had front-row seats for the final show of NY Fashion Week today. They were on hand for one of Calvin Klein's two presentations and met with designer Francisco Costa and Vogue editor Anna Wintour backstage. Rooney and Emma will be back in the same spotlight later this month at the Oscars, where Emma's The Help is up for best picture and Rooney is nominated for best actress in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Make sure to fill out BuzzSugar's Oscars ballot for a chance to win an iPad 2 and a Prada case! Rooney will be joined on the big night by sister Kate, who has also been a regular at this year's Fashion Week. Check out all the stars at NYFW now that the action has wrapped!
Rodarte's Fall 2012 collection was inspired by Australia, with a smattering of Victoriana to boot. Designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy referenced the Outback in their clothing, and the windblown hair and sun-soaked faces suggested an afternoon in a dust storm. Backstage, the scene was bustling; here, a few snaps from the other side of the runway.
Fashion month just got started but we've already spotted a burgeoning trend: blanket stripes. Designers like Michael Kors, Rag & Bone, and Richard Chai all used the rustic print on a bevy of silhouettes, ranging from cool caped ponchos to sleek suiting. We love this cozy, textural effect for winterwear and if you do too, check out the slideshow for more blanket stripe spotting on the runways at New York Fashion Week.
New York Fashion Week comes to a close tonight and we're taking a look back at all the famous faces and amazing ensembles from this season. Designers Victoria Beckham and Rachel Zoe sent their latest collections down the runway while Gisele Bundchen returned to the catwalk. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were seated front row during J. Mendel's presentation, as Jessica Alba got an up close and personal look at Michael Kors's chic separates. The fashion crowd heads to London now for a new crop of shows, but for now, click through to see all the Fashion Week coverage from Manhattan!
We ran into rapper Eve at Leila Sham's afterparty, and we couldn't take our eyes off of her textured nail art. She told us how she got the look, her connection to Madonna, and the key to looking fresh and collected during the frenzy of Fashion Week.
We went backstage at Michael Kors, where the designer told us how famous American couples from the past and present like Clark Gable and Carole Lombard or Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie inspired his ruggedly elegant Fall collection. Watch to find out how to get Angelina Jolie's effortless style — hint: it's all about balance — and how Michael's love of Broadway translates to fashion!
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were the latest celebrities at Fashion Week as they watched the J. Mendel show in NYC this afternoon. They kicked off the stylish events at QVC's presentation last week, when they joined Camila Alves and Olivia Palermo in the front row. Mary-Kate and Ashley were the ones in the spotlight on Monday morning, though, since they showed their latest The Row collection to a select group of press at Bemelmans Bar in the Carlyle hotel. The stylish fun wraps up tomorrow, but there's still plenty of action, so make sure to check out FabSugar's NYFW coverage.
The City alum Whitney Port debuted her first collection at New York Fashion Week, and we went behind the scenes to chat with the designer about how to wear mixed prints, the inspiration behind her fun and flirty Fall line, and the moment when she first fell in love with fashion. Hear more from Whitney here, and be sure to check out the full Whitney Eve Fall 2012 collection!
