If you're a product of the '80s then you may remember BluBlockers sunnies, or maybe Dr.Geek's rap salute to the shades rings a bell? Don't be confused — the clear, patented Blublocker lenses, originally designed for NASA, tame rays, but not your look. In fact, this time around, you'll be seeing brighter, better colors with the collection redux offering bubblegum pink, blue, green, white, and metallic gold. Stylish, sunny, and under $50 — plus you buy two and get a free tote. Let the sunshine in.
I was that girl rocking out to this song in the purple haze Mini Cooper this week. This video is so '89. Biker shorts, bustier tops, leather jackets, cat eye sunglasses — oh wait, that could be the runways circa '09. Everything old is new again, and all you have to do is just bust a move. Young MC delivered a feast for the eyes and ears with this one, how can you not sing along? Notice: even the girl in yellow who says hello is in boyfriend jeans. But the best dressed overall is the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea in his manimal pants. It's fun for the whole fam!
What I never realized, that I now love, about Duran Duran, is that they were so worldly with their video repertoire. We've seen them in Rio being silly, and here they adventuring through Sri Lanka — in their totally tubular '80s getups (how hot is the oversize white blazer, no shirt, and white headscarf?). I also have a fond memory of dancing with some sexy talent to this song at a Halloween party one year. Speaking of sexy, who is the pretty jungle girl and the fiery woman in red? This video has it all: humor, adventure, and romance.
The '80s were all about punches of bright color. Jaimisthejam got herself in the power '80s mood by throwing on a bold purple blazer over an all-black ensemble. Nice move. The orange bag adds further kick.
Here's what she has on:
- Blazer: Thrifted
- Dress: Thrifted
- Purse: Thrifted
- Boots: Thrifted
- Rings: Forever 21
Congrats to jaimisthejam!

Ever want to "grab a piece of that glowing rock"? Or "take the physical challenge"? Some of my fondest TV memories from the late '80s and early '90s come from the spate of kiddie game shows that filled many of Nickelodeon's programming hours and even helped launch Fox. With game shows making a surge on TV, I wanted to take a look back at some of the competitions I remember so fondly from my childhood — both classic and ridiculous. Did anyone else obsessively watch GUTS or dream of battling video game heroes in Nick Arcade? To see all of my nostalgic flashbacks, just hit "Start."

Litew8lady (on the right) looks so incredibly cute and stylish as a true 80s child! Even at the tender age of three, she knew she had it going on in her pink sweatshirt, beaded necklace and hoop earrings. And the side ponytail is classic 80s!
It was too long ago to remember what brand of clothing she was wearing, but she and her cousin look adorable, nonetheless.
Congrats to Litew8lady!
