Fab Ad: Calvin Klein Jeans Fall 2008

While most brands continue to use celebrities as models, Calvin Klein Jeans has replaced Kate Bosworth with real models for its Fall campaign.

While most brands continue to use celebrities as models, Calvin Klein Jeans has replaced Kate Bosworth with real models for its Fall campaign. And these aren't just any unknown models. Abbey Lee, Agnete Hegelund, and Toni Garrn are the latest crop of It models posing for the black and white photos. These are supposed to remind you of the old-school Calvin Klein Jeans ads with Kate Moss and Jenny Shimizu — only these models are fully clothed. I dig the random posing. What do you think about these?

>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL —Fresh on the tail of the news that the model of the future is with personality, Ali Michael may just be the one to fit the bill — she's got public speaking down pat, anyway.  First Sportmax, now Anna Sui with Agnete Hegelund: her Fall 2008 campaign bill of health is definitely clean.

Alexander McQueen Femmes Up Milan

>> Instead of opting to do a by-appointment presentation like some designers or a full-blown runway show like other designers, Alexander McQueen chose to present his Resort 2009 collection yesterday in Milan along with his men's Spring 2009 collection because "they both go into the shop together."

He also wanted to play up the importance of resort season — get this — it makes up about 60 percent of his business. Given that fact, expect to see lots of the body-conscious cocktail dresses with neon punches, illusionary prints, japonisme-inspired motifs, and Margiela-like colorblocking in the next couple of months.
