Alexander Wang Takes His Spring 2010 After Party to a Gas Station

>> Alexander Wang may have changed up his collection's look for Spring 2010, but he's not about to lose his street cred.  He partnered with Katie Grand and LOVE, rented out a Mobil gas station last night, and brought a crowd — which included Trish Goff, Daphne Guinness, L'Wren Scott, Erin Wasson, Vanessa Traina, plus fellow designers Esteban Cortazar and Gareth Pugh.

Despite the fact that the station's gas tanks were drained yesterday afternoon and the venue drenched with nonflammable suds, cigarettes were verboten; nicotine-dependent guests were constantly reminded with "Please stop smoking!" announcements. To take their minds off those forbidden cigarette, there were performances by both Courtney Love, who told the audience she received (ironically) a carton of cigarettes and a pair of shoes to play, and Santigold; plus guests had a free run of anything in the station's convenience store: Bee Shaffer took advantage of the candy aisle.

Alexander, for his part, seemed to be enjoying himself — he chatted up Lily Donaldson and Frankie Rayder, got down with Hanne Gaby Odiele (below), and jumped onstage and into Courtney Love's arms during her performance.

Inglourious Style Brigade

Last night was a big night for the cool cast of Inglourious Basterds. At the New York premiere, co-hosted by Hugo Boss, a wild mix of Hollywood and fashion folk came out to support Quentin and Co. We already saluted Diane Kruger in her sparkling Miu Miu, but really, there was a festive mix of glam, casual, city, and street. Cinema-loving designers included Marc Jacobs and beau, Zac Posen, Rachel Roy, and Nicole Miller. And it's always lovely to see style mavens Michelle Monaghan and Eva Amurri. Totally stoked to see this fantastical flick . . . Source: Getty

Agyness Deyn on Fashion

You know, even though I’m in fashion, I don’t, like, do fashion.
You know, even though I’m in fashion, I don’t, like, do fashion. Fashion isn’t me, even though I work in it. It’s just materialistic stuff. I just want to do whatever makes me happy . . . Like being totally conscious. Laughing is, like, my favorite thing to do. Being with friends, having fun . . . being a bit daft.

But she loves what she does. She has no plans to stop.”  A recent interview with the NY Times had to be scheduled around a movie she was shooting in Europe, but Agyness refuses to answer any questions about her music or film projects, only indicating that she's looking into "branching out" from modeling “into stuff that really pushes the boundaries, raises the bar . . . like, puts you out of your comfort zone." Jean Paul Gaultier Opens His Couture House For Music Video

Agyness Deyn Inspires a Nail Polish Color

Model Agyness Deyn is famous for her shock of platinum-blond hair, but at least one beauty product is more interested in her fingernails.

Model Agyness Deyn is famous for her shock of platinum-blond hair, but at least one beauty product is more interested in her fingernails. Australian cosmetics brand Bloom has released a limited-edition nail polish called Agyness (about $15). It's around only for a little while, and to get it, you'd have to order from Down Under. While Agyness Deyn hasn't been spotted wearing her namesake color, the matte shade of wet-concrete gray is quirky and unusual. Kind of like the model herself.
