>> Missoni's 400-piece Target range spans clothing for men, women, and children; home accessories; footwear; luggage; and more — and the lookbook is finally available for preview, just over a month before the offering hits Target stores and online Sept. 13. “We really wanted to reach a large audience,” Angela Missoni said of the partnership, which she hopes will expand the Missoni image in the US and promote the brand as young and fresh. “As Missoni, we have a big name but we are not a huge company, so there’s not much product around.”
Fashion Descends on Venice for the 2011 Biennale
>> Every two years, the fashion flock meets the art world in Venice for a series of parties and power buys. This year, Hogan, Prada, and Missoni have been among the Venice Biennale event hosts, bringing out guests like Anna Wintour (who was spotted yesterday riding around the city's Grand Canal), Dasha Zhukova, and Naomi Campbell. While some have already come and gone — Anna Wintour, Francois-Henri Pinault, and Salma Hayek Pinault were already spotted attending the French Open in Paris today — we've the fleeting moments of the last couple of days' festivities captured in our slideshow at left.
Missoni Shows a Cozy '60s Ski-Inspired Pre-Fall 2011 Collection
>> For Pre-Fall 2011, Angela Missoni told a tale of cozy '60s ski-inspired knitwear. The house's signature zigzags were present, made into a layered medley of knit turtlenecks, jacquard coats, shift dresses, flared trousers, and sweaters. Accessories, designed by Margherita Missoni for the past three seasons, added a modern bohemian touch with pieces like metal chain necklaces, knit turbans, chunky rope bracelets, and colorful platform sandals.

Margherita to Become Missoni Creative Director Within Two Years?
>> Alongside acting as brand ambassador, Margherita Missoni recently stepped up her Missoni duties as accessories designer of the brand and debuted her first Missoni handbag collection back in May.
Shortly, it sounds like she could be taken on an even bigger role; her mother Angela says she is considering stepping down as Missoni creative director within the next two years: "I was on a bus yesterday and I thought for the first time there are so many things I want to do with my life and whenever Margherita feels ready I'd let her take over. Who knows what the future will bring? Maybe Theresa will run things or perhaps my nephew or my son. Margherita has this incredible passion for the business and for fashion though — she would be excellent."
Angela Missoni Does '60s Silhouettes and Tribal Prints For Resort 2011

Angela Missoni pumped up the color with her latest cruise collection, mixing graphic combinations of bright yellow, red, orange, green and purple with jolts of black to create distinctive tribal prints. Her fabric treatment may have been rooted in African motifs, but silhouettes were altogether taken from the '60s—with mini shifts and long halter dresses paired with armfuls of bangles, hoop earrings and head scarves.

This Week's Fab Faves
It's kinda crazy. This week's faves are a fabulous assortment of duos — and trios! Women are teaming up, complementing each other in striking frocks, killer shoes, and personal styles. Here, we have Margherita and Angela Missoni and Joy Bryant — who, don't forget, wore a Missoni dress as her bridal gown. They all look like goddesses in their various Missoni picks. From the streets of LA to The Runaways premieres to the always welcome Sex and the City ladies, it's a smorgasbord of style. Feast.
Fab Ad: Missoni, Spring '10
In this economy, fashion houses want to cut corners wherever they can. In comes Missoni with its genius conception. For Spring '10, the fashion house skipped the expensive models for something much nearer and dearer to its heart: its famiglia.
“I wanted to highlight our reality and our lifestyle, which is reflected in our unique product and in the artisanal aspect,” said Angela Missoni. “This campaign really reflects the mood I’m in these days, even from a design stance.”
With the help of Juergen Teller, the Italian fashion house told a unique story with images of the whole clan — all wearing Missoni, of course — enjoying dinner at Missoni founders, Rosita and Tai Missoni’s, house. The beautiful Margherita and Teresa are present, along with Francesco Missoni, Ottavio Junior, Marco, and Giacomo Missoni. Such a sweet way of showing off its amazing collection of knits, prints, and decadence. Makes me wish I was a Missoni . . .
It's A Family Reunion For Missoni's Spring Advertising Campaign

Fiscal responsibility might have been the impetus for Angela Missoni's decision to feature photographs of a real-life family dinner as the house's spring advertising campaign, but the outcome looks anything but low budget. We love seeing the whole Missoni-clad clan gathered around the dinner table and lounging on a zigzag print sofa. Photographed by Juergen Teller at the family home in Sumirago, Italy, the images feature three generations of Missonis and will break in February fashion titles this month.
