Animal prints are everywhere this season, but they're not for everybody. So if you want to ride the pony-hair express or look seductive in snakeskin but are too afraid to get too bold, an animal-print belt is a great way to wear just a touch of the trend. Every couple of years, the fashion world declares that animal prints are "in," and each time, I just can't seem to embrace the look. No matter how pricey the animal prints are, they always end up looking like something you'd wear to a Mississippi casino. One exception: This season's animal-print shoes and handbags from Donald J. Pliner. The designs use leopard and giraffe patterns sparingly and temper them with edgy red and black leather accents for a hip, urban effect.
