Kate Hudson has had quite the week. She partied with Steven Tyler, announced a new fashion line for Ann Taylor, and watched as her fiancé, Matthew Bellamy, confessed his love for her in front of a sold-out crowd at the Staples Center.
Look We Love – Print Tees and Pleated Skirts

Parisian girls really know how to work it and this latest street-snapped cutie is a fitting example of je ne sais quoi at its finest. A pretty pleated skirt, like this one from Anne Taylor, is contrasted with a printed tee and crewneck cardi for a femme-meets-funky vibe. Feeling it? Get the same look with our picks from Asos, J.Crew, and All Saints now.

Celeb Style: Thandie Newton
It's been a while since we've spotted Thandie. The actress made an appearance at the Into the Hoods street dance show in London looking chic and unique in a tiered Isabel Marant skit, artsy tee, and brown sandals. Her black tweed jacket adds a polished touch while delicate gold jewels hone in her slick style.

Trend Alert: Kitten Heels
We think Michelle Obama may have something to do with the resurgence of kitten heels. After all, they're her modus operandi and look amazing with almost every outfit. The best part? They're comfy as heck, so don't be afraid to walk the streets, shop 'til you drop, or even dance the night away in these small-heeled wonders. I would do unspeakable things for this Givenchy Studded Sandal ($878) . . .
I Want This Wardrobe: Blair Waldorf
After last week's tumultuous holiday episode on Gossip Girl, things finally get back to normal for the Upper East Siders. Poor Blair, her mom is making the big move to Paris and has left her by her lonesome in NYC. While contemplating her newfound freedom, she struck a contemplative pose in a dramatic oversized collar coat, Alexander McQueen houndstooth top, and button-front pencil skirt. Cap-toe pumps, textured tights and Valentino bag add extra pizazz to her polish. Don't worry Blair, you'll prevail like you always do.

Celeb Style: Michelle Monaghan
Michelle Monaghan is a pro at creating simple, yet stunning, outfits. The actress attended the premiere of The Trucker in NYC over the weekend looking subtly shimmery in a monochromatic ensemble. Her sleek, ivory Calvin Klein silk blazer tempers her metallic crinkled dress, and I love how her gray cutout pumps inject an architectural appeal.

Trend Alert: The Trench Dress
I've always been a fan of Ginnifer Goodwin's sleek style. She manages to give simple pieces a unique twist. Case in point: her Camilla and Marc silk trench dress. Wearing her jacket as a dress alludes to mystery. Is she or isn't she wearing something underneath? Only the wearer remains the wiser.
The trick to pulling this off is wearing a thinner trench made out of silk, satin, or a light cotton. That way, it looks more like a dress, and less like a coat. There are also a couple of "real" trench dresses available for those who don't like drafts. Me? I already own a light cotton trench, so layering it with a thin slip should do the trick.

I Want This Wardrobe: Confessions of a Shopaholic, Rebecca Bloomwood
Confessions of a Shopaholic just opened today — yay! As expected, the outfits were eclectic, exciting, and totally fabulous. In this particular scene — don't worry, no spoilers — Rebecca Bloomwood, aka Isla Fisher, showed off her appetite for delicious color. Her purple Lanvin confection is beyond sassy. I like how she added a kitschy touch to her ensemble by pairing it with light lavender fishnet tights. Yummy.
The Look For Less: Marroni Faceted Ring
Sometimes all you need is one piece of jewelry to make a "wow" statement. This Marroni Faceted Ring ($3,350) says all the right things: sleek, sexy, and sophisticated. The faceted texture brings life to its bold shape. Only problem is that it's worth more than my monthly rent — eek!
