Starting tomorrow, Anthropologie will be launching an exclusive new collaboration series, called Made in Kind, highlighting collections by established and up-and-coming designers like Karen Walker, John Patrick, and Samantha Pleet. Priced from $84 to $470, the collections vary from ladylike polished looks to bright artsy-inspired printed dresses and tops. "The materials are meant to speak to you first, " said John Patrick, when describing his O by Organic capsule collection highlighting pretty pleated skirts and blouses. Our favorite pieces from Anthropologie's new capsule collections? Read below to find out, then click the slideshow to see more top looks from the exclusive capsule collections.

  • We adore this O by Organic orange pleated skirt. The crinkle detail gives it a unique touch and we love how the fabric is sustainable.
  • We'd easily wear this Gregory Parkinson tie-dyed dress to Coachella. The loose silhouette and intricate embroidery channels the perfect surfer-meets-bohemian girl attitude.
  • Every girl needs a sweet yellow dress in her wardrobe this season. Samantha Pleet designed one with just the right amount of femininity injected with a splash of edge thanks to the cute cutout detail.

Because everyone loves a good collaboration: in just a few short days Anthropologie will launch Made in Kind, a new ecommerce platform featuring 11 exclusive capsule collections from some of the most intriguing designers around. Among those involved in the project's April 5 debut? Established favorites Karen Walker, Gregory Parkinson, and John Patrick; up-and-comers Samantha Pleet and Charlotte Linton; and newbies Rachel Rose and Koto Bolofo.

With pieces priced from $84 to $470, the various collections offer an accessible introduction to each designer's respective aesthetic: there are whimsically printed dresses in vintage silhouettes from Karen Walker, clean-lined blouses and bottoms in sustainable fabrics from John Patrick, and hand-dyed tops and skirts in vivid hues from Gregory Parkinson. "I think women who say 'I never wear print or color' will be surprised when they try on these items," Parkinson says of his collection.

Pipe Cleaner Headbands: Love It or Leave It?

You used them to create art projects back in the grammar school days (and maybe later in life for their originally intended use of flushing dottle out of pipes), but now Anthropologie has come up with a way to make pipe cleaners stylish.

You used them to create art projects back in the grammar school days (and maybe later in life for their originally intended use of flushing dottle out of pipes), but now Anthropologie has come up with a way to make pipe cleaners stylish. Its pipe cleaner headbands ($20 each), tied in double-bow fashion, are whimsical and practical, and would be the perfect addition for anybody looking to add a touch of nostalgia to her beauty look. Available in red, black, or purple, these chenille-stem hair accessories are along the same vein as Kate Spade's curling ribbon headbands: the perfect DIY. So put that in your pipe . . . and look smokin'.

Rachel McAdams Adds a Pop of Cobalt to Her Transitional Look

While having lunch at Little Dom's in Los Feliz over the weekend, Rachel McAdams traded her fancy Peter Som floral outfit for something a bit more weekend-casual.

While having lunch at Little Dom's in Los Feliz over the weekend, Rachel McAdams traded her fancy Peter Som floral outfit for something a bit more weekend-casual. Her black turtleneck and boots are staples, but this transitional ensemble is mainly anchored by two standout pieces: a cream-colored silk skirt by Anthropologie and a bold royal blue Elie Saab crossbody bag. We love that her purse is an unexpected choice, yet one that leads the look in a completely different direction than it would have gone with a, say, black bag. So the next time you're wearing a rather tame outfit to lunch, consider throwing in a pop of unexpected color to shock your style.

Rock Taylor Swift's Crochet Frock Any Time of Year

While shopping at the Ventura County Flea Market over the weekend, Taylor Swift donned a crochet Anthropologie dress with peep-toe Frye sandals and a Ralph Lauren saddle bag.

While shopping at the Ventura County Flea Market over the weekend, Taylor Swift donned a crochet Anthropologie dress with peep-toe Frye sandals and a Ralph Lauren saddle bag. Sadly, not all places are as sun-soaked in January as SoCal, but with a few additional layers you can wear your favorite crochet frock in Winter. Add a cinched anorak and printed scarf over Taylor's girlie mini, then cover your stems with a pair of thick tights, slouchy socks, and suede wedges. If you still feel a chill, warm up with a knit beanie and fingerless gloves.

Hi There From Karen Walker

>>This Spring, Karen Walker brings her particular breed of New Zealand girlie-quirk to the American mass market by storm. As announced via the brand's Twitter and Facebook earlier today, the designer has inked a deal with Anthropologie that puts her lower-priced Hi There From Karen Walker line of "cute dresses, fun prints, and strong colors" exclusively at 164 Anthropologie stores, starting March 2012. "It's completely different to everything else we've been doing," Walker told The New Zealand Herald. "We've been in the luxury market for 14 years, but this reaches a wider audience . . . [it's] a totally different price point, a totally different product and it's really our first time in the States going en masse." Click through to see the entire Hi There From Karen Walker collection, with more details coming soon.
