Must-Have Accessories For Outdoor Workouts

Stay protected from the sun's glare with a cool pair of polarized shades, some sunscreen, and a running cap.
For Spring, we've already outfitted you in bright athletic shoes, colorful running shorts, and a cute hoodie, but we're not done yet! There are still a few go-to items that must be obtained before you head outside for your workouts. A bit more on the practical side, these accessories will keep you protected, hydrated, and warm (as needed!).

Stay protected from the sun's glare with a cool pair of polarized shades, some sunscreen, and a running cap. We love Oakley's Beckon sunglasses ($160) because they are as fashionable as they are functional! Keep the face protected with lululemon's wicking cap ($32), which has a nifty zip pocket on the side, and don't forget to slather on some Neutrogena Sport Face suncreen ($12). Regardless of the season, staying hydrated is key; we love the Water Geeks Lab bottle ($24) because of its built-in filter that gets rid of impurities. Unpredictable Spring weather means layering, but you can skip the jacket with these Sugoi Lucky Arm Warmers ($40). Stretch them up to stay warm while riding, running, or hiking, or push them down to feel the sun on your guns.

Spring Running Essential: Arm Warmers

Spring weather is unpredictable, which means layering is important.

Spring weather is unpredictable, which means layering is important. When headed out for a long run, you can wear a tank but keep your arms covered with arm warmers. No longer just for the legs, or the dancers, arm warmers are a great accessory for runners and cyclists alike. Marathoner Kara Goucher sported a pair while running Boston yesterday.

Arm warmers range from $18 to $40 depending on the material used. You can opt for classic black like Kara, or go for some conspicuous stripes to make you more visible on the road. Check out some options below, from classic black to tattoo sleeves.

Fab Finding Follow-Up: Sunday Football

Last weekend, my friend threw a Sunday Football bash and I asked you to help me find a cute casual look for the festivities.

Last weekend, my friend threw a Sunday Football bash and I asked you to help me find a cute casual look for the festivities. Sure enough, I indulged in sinful cheesy dips and BBQ wings, but no regrets here. That's what exercising is for, right? I had so much fun, I even stopped by my parents' house and joined my dad in watching the evening game.

I started you off with these Falke Striggings Arm Warmers ($29) because they were sporty and cozy. Let's see what you all came up with!

Look #1, created by maria212134, is all about sporty fun. Those vintage Chucks are dope, and I'll skip the cute cardigan since I have my trusty arm warmers.

Come Fab Finding With Me: Sunday Football

Note the lack of men on the streets these past couple Sundays.

Note the lack of men on the streets these past couple Sundays. Don't worry, it's not you: it's football season. Though I'm a girlie girl at heart, I indulge in a couple pigskin festivities every season. This weekend, my friend's throwing a Sunday Football bash. Tons of cuties will be present, so help me find a cute casual look. No heels, no fluff. All the guys will be glued to the screen, but there's always half-time, right?

I'll start you off with these Falke Striggings Arm Warmers ($29) because they're sporty, cozy, and make for a great ice-breaker. Ready, set, hike!

Let's go Fab Finding. Be sure to come back and tell me your Fab Finds are up, or just tag your Fab Finds with Sunday football.

Trend Alert: Arm Warmers

This Fall marks not only the return of leg warmers but also the debut of arm warmers.

This Fall marks not only the return of leg warmers but also the debut of arm warmers. Yep, you heard me right, but before you laugh, give this trend a chance. These cozy, long, and often fingerless gloves are a great way to keep your arms and hands warm in this season's cropped-sleeved coats. Plus, the slouchy, sock-like styles give you lots of finger mobility. Sure, these are trendy, but they're also a cute and practical accessory to add to your winter look. Here are my picks for designer and non-designer versions.

Miu Miu Extra Long Gloves, $270, available here.

Juicy Couture Arm Warmers, $95, available here.

Mohair Fingerless Gloves, $30, available here.
