Celeb Style: Sienna Miller

Sienna Miller always gives us plenty of style inspiration –– whether she's on the red carpet or just running around town, she looks unfailingly chic and effortless.

Sienna Miller always gives us plenty of style inspiration –– whether she's on the red carpet or just running around town, she looks unfailingly chic and effortless. While in Los Angeles, Sienna chose a polished –– but still uncomplicated –– daytime look. She tucked a blousy white button-down into a pair of ankle-length skinnies, then added a studded wrap belt, cream heels, and a leather shoulder bag. While it may be a departure from her usual bohemian fare, Sienna still manages to create a totally covetable look. Click the items above to shop a similar style.

Celeb Style: Keri Russell

Do you remember Keri Russell from her days on Felicity?

Do you remember Keri Russell from her days on Felicity? So cute. Since then, she has morphed into a chicer, sleeker woman. While out promoting her latest movie, Extraordinary Measures, the actress donned a crisp 'fit comprised of cropped chinos, a loose tank, and a black blazer. Her attention to details — via a standup collar, bold hoop earrings, and printed Roger Vivier pumps — added extra sass and sensation.

Look For Less: Gucci T-Strap Platforms

When I came across these gorgeous Gucci Platforms ($928), I couldn't help but envision the leggy look I'd achieve wearing them.
Gucci at ShopStyle

When I came across these gorgeous Gucci Platforms ($928), I couldn't help but envision the leggy look I'd achieve wearing them. Despite my attempts to rationalize the purchase — their versatility, the timeless design, the supple pebble leather (I could go on) — at this price, the look would have to remain a fantasy. Or would it . . .

Trend Alert: Summer Booties

I understand wearing boots in the Summer is a geographical thing.

I understand wearing boots in the Summer is a geographical thing. For example, a gal in Washington DC (hot, sticky) may balk at the thought, while a chick in San Francisco (foggy, breezy) may bask in it. But I must aver the cuteness of Summer booties. Myla lingerie model and social Polly Delevigne exhibits said cuteness — pug alert!

Pair slightly tough, open-toe booties with a sweet sundress and voila! Modern girlie. Black is the most extreme, neutrals and metallics lend a lighter touch. And look on the bright side — come Fall, these become Fall booties. Smarties.

Celebrity Style: Emma Watson

Girl is on a roll!

Girl is on a roll! Emma showed up in yet another hot look at the New York Harry Potter premiere. We've been there done that with leather skirts, but a leather halter contrasted with a ladylike ivory skirt and cinched with a contrasting belt is fresh. Her ruched black Proenza strappy sandals tie the look together, and a cool glowing green ring delivers a hint of color. Emma's Proenza Schouler getup is actually a dress, but this can be re-created with separates.

Shopping: Sneakers Get Some Height

You could say it became a trend by way of DKNY's sneaker pumps (above) and perhaps Ann Demeulemeester's lace-up wedges.

You could say it became a trend by way of DKNY's sneaker pumps (above) and perhaps Ann Demeulemeester's lace-up wedges. Now that spring footwear is hitting shelves it seems there are plenty of lace-up sneaker heights to choose from. This trend might be loathed by some and loved by others but, regardless, we're just happy that there's some padding in this season's sky-high numbers. A few strips of PVC and a wooden five-inch platform shouldn't be our only option for fabulous super-tall footwear.

The Look For Less: Marni Platform Sandals

It was lust at first sight when I saw these Marni platform sandals walking down the runway.

It was lust at first sight when I saw these Marni platform sandals walking down the runway. I love how the chunky platform and patent straps give off an artsy, architectural aura. I can already see myself wearing these with dark tights now and with a floral skirt in the Spring. Alas, marvelous Marni comes at a hefty price tag, so I'm searching for a cheaper version!

SOPHIATRESS is not decked out in red and green, but she still looks festively minimal. I like how she styled her blue one-shouldered dress with nude accessories. The perfect way to show that stellar tan. Happy Holidays!

Here's what she has on:
