Kristen Stewart Puts Her Own Spin on Balenciaga's Quilted Moto Jacket
Kristen Stewart is known for her tomboy charm, and now that she's the new face of Balenciaga, she's putting her own spin on the house's couture collections. While out in Paris, Kristen donned a dark-hued look: Joe's Abigail tank, cuffed gray skinnies by 7 for All Mankind, and her signature Vans, which she topped with a badass Balenciaga quilted motorcycle jacket. Here's a less-expensive alternative. Clear sunglasses, red nail polish, and that classic Kristen smolder finish off her edgy look. Channel your inner Kristen by layering a leather jacket over an all-black ensemble — don't forget the Vans — or style your leather topper over a black dress for a rock-chic take on evening wear.
Kristen Stewart's Sexy Edge: She Sits Front Row at Balenciaga in Leather Pants
Paris Fashion Week is well underway, and we spotted a slew of fashionable celebrities front row at the Balenciaga show. The lovely Kristen Stewart, who is the face of Balenciaga's new fragrance, made a cameo at the show alongside Salma Hayek and Clemence Poesy. Watch today's Fab Flash to see all of their front-row ensembles! On Allison McNamara: Lia Sophia necklace.
Kristen Stewart Gives Us a New Cool-Girl Uniform
Just yesterday Kristen Stewart wore jeans and her high-top Chucks, but today the actress has blossomed into a polished fashionista in head-to-toe Balenciaga in Paris. And by doing so, she's given us a new cool-girl uniform: floral blouse with leather pants. The florals lend softness to the leather, while at the same time leather gives much-needed badass to the florals. It's a symbiotic fashion relationship that works flawlessly! The good news is that you probably already have a pair of liquid leggings and floral tops in your closet, so throw them together for your next night out. This outfit can also work with a floral top tucked into a black leather skirt for more professional settings. Or try a floral skirt with a leather shell for variety.

Balenciaga Fall 2012
Nicolas Ghesquière showed off a sporty Space Age collection for Balenciaga's Fall 2012 collection, comprised of baggy metallic pants, sheer dresses, and boxy structured coats. "We imagined this Balenciaga Inc. company [in the '80s] and then we started to identify the functions the staff have and the clothes they would wear — the space-age sweatshirt girls were the spies infiltrating the company," said Ghesquière. While some of '80s nuances were present, like the boxy jackets and printed sweatshirts, Ghesquière's expertise in tight tailoring took the collection to the future. Models strutted down the runway in an array of baggy metallic colorblock pants and structured leather-detailed coats complete which at times, was paired with notebooks to drive in the inspiration point. There were also an intriguing array of sheer dresses, for the work-to-party girl, decorated with animal prints and contrasting leather detailing. For accessories, Ghesquière footwear highlighted a mix of sharp cap-toe ankle boots and white strappy sandals, while bags showed boxy leather satchel bags with wide straps. More details from Balenciaga's futuristic collection below.
- Trends: Sporty, metallic colors, sheer dresses, boxy coats.
- Colors: Metallic gold and silver, cobalt, red, gray, camel, purple, pink, white, black.
- Key Piece: The sheer dresses were the perfect mix of sporty-cum-sleek.
- Accessories: Ankle boots, strappy pumps, short gloves, satchel bags, jeweled statement earrings.
- Who Would Wear It: Girls who crave a modern futuristic look like front row attendees Kristen Stewart and Clemence Poesy.
Balenciaga Fall 2012
>> The '80s disco space odyssey Nicolas Ghesquière embarked on for Pre-Fall reached full orbit today at the Fall 2012 Balenciaga show in Paris. This season, however, the electric hues, metallic leather, angular prints, shoulder-heavy silhouettes, and eclectic combinations were imbibed with a little corporate office fantasy. "We imagined this Balenciaga Inc. company and then we started to identify the functions the staff have and the clothes they would wear — the space-age sweatshirt girls were the spies infiltrating the company," the designer explained.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Gives Us a Moody Color Combo to Try
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley strutted through London's Heathrow airport looking smashing in a bordeaux Balenciaga leather jacket — shop a similar, less expensive version here — which she paired with a creme tee, gray skinnies, and suede Opening Ceremony booties. We love that she reached for a nonblack leather jacket and how she paired the bordeaux with gray. Quite the impact-making color combo and a good alternative to all the bright colorblocking going on lately. Score Rosie's winning look by styling a dark red jacket with skinny gray jeans, suede booties, and a printed scarf for a day of errands, then switch things up with a pair of strappy black pumps and a stud clutch for a night out.
Trade Your Black Leather Jacket For Soft Pink à la Haylie Duff
Light-colored clothing can be bland when paired with other neutrals, but during a recent night out in LA, Haylie Duff proved that fair hues can pack a punch when styled correctly. Instead of wearing the same-old-same black leather jacket, Haylie started with a soft pink leather jacket, which she paired over a silk gray blouse, black skinnies, and nude Christian Louboutin pumps. Her Balenciaga bag brought extra texture, while her gold link bracelet added a bit of bling. Rock a similar look for your next outing by layering a soft pink leather jacket — here's something faux for way less — over a neutral tank and skinny jeans.
SAG Awards: Kristen Wiig
Kristen Wiig may be hilarious when pulling gags in jeans and a tee, but the comedienne has a way with the red carpet, too. The Bridesmaids leading lady showed off her fashion chops in a silky Balenciaga gown and a bold choker. To balance her statement jewels, she kept her brunette locks low-key, simply swept back to show off a fresh pink lip and a subtly smoky eye. Do you love it?

Miranda Kerr Inspires Us to Add Quilted Leather to Our Closet
Miranda Kerr had her hands full while arriving at Narita International Airport in Tokyo. The model mom layered a quilted leather Balenciaga jacket over a simple gray tee and NOBODY skinny jeans. Her printed scarf, suede booties, and Alexander Wang bucket bag injected a funky vibe to her get-up-and-go ensemble. A quilted leather jacket is all the rage these days, but if you can't afford Miranda's Balenciaga, here's a less expensive, equally edgy alternative. Channel Miranda's take on street chic for your next shopping date, or swap the scarf and booties for a sheer leopard button-down and colored pumps for a night out.
