Banana Republic took us on a luxurious spin for its Fall Holiday 2012 collection, showcasing its signature classic Americana style with an elegant twist. Equestrian-inspired details via gray flannel, horse bit embellishments, and thoughtful elbow batches emoted a refined English feel, while the brand's iconic tailored trenches were brought up a notch with sleek leather trim. An array of capes and leather pencil skirts also added a refined touch to the city-meets-country collection. For accessories, Banana Republic offered up a covetable array of chic leather satchels, metal-tipped pumps, lace-up ankle boots, and gorgeous snake-print clutches. Trenches, pencil skirts, sheath dresses, and tie-neck blouses are cut in dapper fabrics and neatly tailored silhouettes, while the color palette of gray, black, and berry feels ultra-refined. Leather-trimmed capelets, cropped wool trousers, draped cashmere knits, and slim-leather skirts look especially winning, as do gold-tipped pumps and zippered clutches in textured python.

Banana Republic just released images from its Mad Men collection, set to debut March 1, showing a range of pretty ladylike options worn by Shalom Harlow come Spring. Designed by Mad Men's costume designer Janie Bryant, the line includes over 40 pieces, highlighting white lace tops, short-sleeve floral sheaths, pink capri pants, polished party dresses, and chic accessories like colorblock pumps and bright clutches. "Spring delivers a whole new palette and gave us an excuse to draw from different scenes and wardrobe from the show as inspiration," said Banana Republic's creative director, Simon Kneen. "Janie’s perspective was invaluable in helping us create a collection that is both chic and modern, while remaining true to the aesthetic of the 1960s era." Banana Republic has just announced its second Mad Men collection, designed by the show's costume designer, Janie Bryant. The Spring collection debuts online and in stores on March 1 — just 24 days before the highly anticipated season premiere on March 25!
