I remember it like it was yesterday — when Dolce & Gabbana's Spring '10 models stampeded down the catwalk, I was mesmerized. One model is great, but a herd of them? Stunning. Likewise, at the TCN show at Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week yesterday, another stampede took place (top left), albeit much more modest than Dolce & Gabbana's. It might not have been as powerful in number, but it still had the same wowing effect. But not every designer is into the catwalk stampede — while it's fun to look at, it makes it harder to focus on the specific pieces. So tell me, which do you prefer — the stampede or solo strut? Marc Jacobs showed his Fall collection last night, but before we dissect his latest creations, let's indulge in a little friendly style battle with the front-row stars. It's a Marc Jacobs war, and the warriors are Liya Kebede, Leighton Meester, Karen Elson, Fergie, and Vanessa Hudgens. All dressed in Marc's '70s-inspired Spring pieces, all groovy fabulous. One's more funky fab than the next, but which front-row star wins this ultimate MJ battle? You decide!
When it comes to stylish celebs in designer dresses, there's always going to be one lady who comes out on top. Last night at a Nylon Magazine party in her honor, Leighton Meester rose to the occasion in a colorful frock from Proenza Schouler's Spring 2011 collection — much like the one that Kate Bosworth wore to the 27th annual Night of Stars event last October. Leighton went for a silky, sexy approach while Kate opted for the ladylike short-sleeved number. Both ladies lit up the room in Proenza's neon creations, but we're dying to know — whose look was most Fab?
Two of our favorite celebs — each with her own serious sartorial sense — joined their stylish peers for Gucci's dinner at the Italian embassy in Paris, as a part of the fashionable festivities happening for Couture Fashion Week. Jessica Alba rocked a sparkling one-shoulder in an icy palette, while Diane Kruger, true to form, went for a couture showpiece. Her gold and black tiered confection reminds us that even at a dinner party, Kruger is all about taking it to the next level with an edgier fashion statement. Alba, too, is pretty true to her sensibility, opting to go glam, but not over-the-top. Now, it's time to weigh in — whose look is most Fab?
A gaggle of stylish celebs and fashion insiders have flocked to Paris for Spring '11 Couture Fashion Week — and a few of them were lucky enough to be invited to Vogue and Gucci's dinner party. Model Laetitia Casta and Carine Roitfeld both opted for long, black Gucci stunners. Laetitia's is one-shouldered with a high neck, while Carine's has a sexy cutout in the back. Both look fabulous in their looks, but who wins this battle?
Two gorgeous '90s supermodels battle it out for cover girl of the month. In one corner, Cindy Crawford graces the front of Vogue India, wearing a gold shimmery Balmain, looking super snazzy. In the other corner is Naomi Campbell on the cover of Interview, looking just a bit dangerous and a whole lot badass in a strapless black leather dress. Both ladies prove they still got what it takes to be on top, but which supermodel wins this war of October covers?
Lauren Conrad wasn't the only one who attended the eighth annual Teen Vogue Young Hollywood party. A gaggle of gorgeous stars gathered at Paramount Studios in LA to mingle the night away. Five of them — Kate Mara, Brittany Snow, Alexa Chung, Nikki Reed, and Lily Collins — all opted to show off their red carpet style in Michael Kors.
Step inside to get a good look at their ensembles, then at the end, vote for who you think should take the style crown. It's on!
After the Calvin Klein Fall 2010 collection came the star-filled afterparty. In attendance were Calvin Klein-clad models, actresses, and socialites. Battling it out for the CK crown are Kate Bosworth and Kerry Washington. Both ladies opted for taupe frocks by the minimal designer, but each worked her own unique spin. Kate gave her form-fitting dress pops of red via round-toe pumps and red lipstick. Kerry wore her ruched dress with nude strappy sandals, snakeskin clutch, and hoop earrings. Both look great in CK, but who takes the win?
