>> Since losing its original founders last March, Sigerson Morrison has been focusing heavily on refreshing its brand — and now they've enlisted Taylor Tomasi Hill to help. The Marie Claire style and accessories director has been tapped as the company's new creative consultant, and will not only advise on trend direction and concept development for Sigerson Morrison and its secondary line, Belle by Sigerson Morrison, but will also assist on future advertising and marketing initiatives. “Taylor is our style guru. We have such a respect for her and her taste level and trend knowledge and her vision in terms of fashion,” explained Susan Itzkowitz, president of Marc Fisher Footwear, the brand's parent company. The addition of Tomasi Hill is not the only change in motion at the company; a new design team has been established in Italy, and for Spring 2012 both lines will introduce new styles, materials, and silhouettes — as well as slightly lower price points.

Top Pink Shopping Picks for Spring and Summer 2011

>> This season, the quintessential "girl" color gets a much-needed update. Spotted on the Spring 2011 runways of everyone from Costume National to Valentino — and in every shade from barely-there pastels to super-bright magenta — pink is definitely the hue of the season. But don't expect to find the bubble gum pop and saccharine sweetness of Summers past — this season's take is unexpectedly edgy and all grown up. Look for pieces with modern, pared-down silhouettes and surprising details: accessories in unpredictable materials; dresses in clean, breezy shapes; and jewelry that walks the line between delicate and tough. Trend Alert: Wrap-Strap Boots

If the over-the-knee look is too trendy and the drawstring is too avant-garde, wrap-strap boots might be just right.

If the over-the-knee look is too trendy and the drawstring is too avant-garde, wrap-strap boots might be just right. I've had a few friends ask me about these, and I highly recommend. They are tough without being overly so and have that funky pirate vibe. These Shoebox Strappy Booties ($275), are the perfect contenders: supple suede, a forgiving heel, and an added buckle. These boots are made for more than just walking . . .

These Boots Are Made For Walking: Simply Irresistible Suede

Supple, soft, textural — I can't resist.
Jimmy Choo at ShopStyle

Supple, soft, textural — I can't resist. Yes, simply irresistible suede is high maintenance — so it's best to wear it now, before rain drops — but it's worth it. In case of a downpour, make sure to weatherproof your puppies and wear rain boots to and from your destination. I mean, you wouldn't want to tarnish these Jimmy Choo Glint suede boots ($995), would you? Hell no.

Oooh, rarely do we catch a glimpse of someone shopping at Stella McCartney. Reese was doing just that, in a tried and true shopping outfit: Belle by Sigerson Morrison flats, crisp white cropped jeans, and an easy throw-on, throw-off pewter top. The artsy necklace and the calm colors make for a cool and collected shopper. But the bigger question here is: What did she buy?!

Fab's January Most Wanted

On New Year's Eve I was driving home to start getting ready for my evening festivities. I couldn't help but be distracted by the gorgeous sunset that accompanied my peaceful drive. Luckily, like the responsible driver I strive to be, I was able to multi-task and admire and drive at the same time. The sky of pastels had a soothing effect that filled me with hope and happiness going into the new year. And so, my picks this month are a mix of things that make me happy and things I find I simply need to kick the year off with. Nothing crazy, a couple things colorful — still trying to honor my New Year Fabalutions.

Kate Bosworth looks very Proenza as she heads out from Sur restaurant on Robertson Blvd. I gotta say, I like her because she consistently looks good. She never takes my breath away but she also doesn't make me cringe. I adore her Chloe Heloise bag and how she spiced up a simple strapless dress with a white tank!
