This Week's Best Dressed

Style-wise, this week was one for the books.

Style-wise, this week was one for the books. Tuesday's CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards brought the industry out in full force to support US design talent; veterans (Tommy Hilfiger, Carolina Herrera, Diane von Furstenberg), fresh-faced nominees (winner Greg Chait, Tabitha Simmons, Wes Gordon), past winners (Joseph Altuzarra, Billy Reid, Prabal Gurung), models (Karlie Kloss, Carolyn Murphy, Miranda Kerr), and even actors (Emma Stone, Tobey Maguire) rubbed shoulders in their spruced-up finest, and it all made for one insanely chic gathering indeed.

On Thursday, Stefano Tonchi hosted a much less formal (but no less fun) event at Gramercy Park Hotel in honor of W's 40th anniversary. Iris Apfel, Joan Smalls, Natasha Poly, and Genevieve Jones were among those who kicked off the celebration with an intimate dinner at the hotel's Rosebar downstairs, then later the well-heeled crowd continued the party upstairs on the recently redone terrace. Guests munched on tiny W-decorated cupcakes while sipping one of four decade-inspired cocktails and craning their necks for a glimpse of Tilda Swinton, the evening's purported cohost. While we never did see Swinton, we did spot Johan Lindeberg and Jenna Lyons meeting for the first time.

All the best looks from those events and more — including Kate Moss's book launch in London — right here, in the slideshow.

The Victoria's Secret Angels may have been scantilly clad on the runway, but when they turned up at the show's afterparty, they were all dressed to the nines.

The Victoria's Secret Angels may have been scantilly clad on the runway, but when they turned up at the show's afterparty, they were all dressed to the nines. Izabel Goulart, Jessica Hart, and Erin Heatherton opted for body-con dresses in sequins, prints, or bright hues, while first-time VS catwalkers Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne stuck together in matching monochrome mini dresses. However, perhaps the most adventurous of the night was Behati Prinsloo, whose black Moschino t-shirt dress emblazoned with the phrase "You can dress me up! But you can't take me out!" was a sight to behold — if only for its puritanical hemline length and to-the-wrist sleeves.

But there were plenty of other good looks this week — and it wasn't just those with awe-inducing supermodel proportions who pulled them off. In London, several big events had industry folks moving, shaking, and looking fine: at the 1,000 Most Influential Londoners party, Caroline Issa left no doubt as to why she was selected as one of the 1,000 as she cut the rug in a frothy blue and white Prabal Gurung. Lulu Kennedy, Susie Lau, Josephine De La Baume, Sarah Burton, and Matthew Williamson were among the dapper crew who turned out to represent the city's fashion set at the Style.com dinner, while WGSN's Global Fashion Awards dinner saw the likes of Pixie Lott, Jade Parfitt, and Charlotte Dellal.

Those and the rest of the week's best looks — including Jessica Alba, Nicole Richie, Laetitia Casta, and more — right here.

Who says New York gets to have all the chic?
Best Dressed at Bergdorf Goodman's 111th Anniversary Party

Who says New York gets to have all the chic? While a healthy share of this week's best looks were photographed in the city that never sleeps, there was plenty of competition from the stylish sets in Boston, London, and Rome.

Mario Testino's exhibit of photography at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts lured the likes of Erin Wasson, Gisele Bündchen, and Anna Wintour to Massachusetts. Meanwhile, Tim Walker's exhibit of photography drew Cara Delevingne and Erdem Moralioglu into Somerset House. Lauren Remington Platt and Byrdie Bell helped celebrate the opening of a new Max Mara store in Rome.

Stateside, some of the brightest stars in film and television — like Emma Watson and Sarah Jessica Parker, at left — dressed up for the Elle Women in Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles. Tinseltown also played host to a party that Rachel Zoe hosted for Jockey.

In New York, Bergdorf Goodman celebrated 111 years of being one of the city's landmarks with a party attended by industry stars like Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu, Lynn Yaeger, Linda Fargo, and Joseph Altuzarra. Michael Kors also hosted a party benefiting God's Love We Deliver. All the high-profile parties and charitable events in New York inspired some truly great looks — but so did an intimate dinner hosted by Roberto Cavalli.

Fashion Month may be over, but that doesn't mean there's any rest for the style set.
Best Dressed at Chanel's Little Black Jacket Exhibit in London

Fashion Month may be over, but that doesn't mean there's any rest for the style set. In fact, the week was so filled with parties that it led some to comment that their calendars were just as jam-packed now as they had been a few weeks ago in Milan.

In New York alone, there were multiple events that kept the crowd hopping up and down and all around town — and with each came ample opportunity for chicness. At Maje's Fall 2012 campaign party, host and campaign star Alexa Chung looked vibrant as she held court in a ruffled red top; DJ Alix Brown's electric blue jacket with leather sleeves was equally striking. Earlier that evening at the Vogue: The Editor's Eye book launch at Barneys — hosted by Hamish Bowles and Tonne Goodman — Carolyn Murphy, Erin O'Connor, and Hilary Rhoda were all in attendance, and each looked just as stunning as ever. Joseph Altuzarra and Zac Posen (in a self-customized A.P.C. coat and fedora) were also in present and plenty stylish.

Not to be outdone, Chanel hosted not one, but two mega soirees this week as well. Each party brought a host of heavy hitters: Poppy Delevingne, Kristen McMenamy (left), Elle Fanning, Carine Roitfeld, Stella Tennant . . . and, of course, all were decked out in their black and white Chanel finest.
