Blazers aren't anything new or groundbreaking, but sometimes we need a refresher. That being said, today's fashion tip is super easy to execute: don't deny the power of the blazer. Listen up: The key to finding the perfect blazer is all about fit. Depending on how you like to layer, we suggest you find a silhouette that's cut close to your body, making sure the shoulder, arms, and chest areas sit closely to your figure. Now comes the fun part — styling! As seen below, blazers can instantly dress up more casual accompaniments, like denim, or easily take your dressier counterparts to the next level, as displayed by Vogue Australia's Christine Centenera, pictured center. Up your styling ante this Spring, and try a bold-colored blazer or one with a sleek metallic finish, or embrace a bright white option for an instantly chic update. We've supplied the outfit inspiration below, so it's up to you to put your blazer to work.
Street-style star Joanna Hillman has infused her signature taste into two blazers she created with master tailor Martin Greenfield.
Greenfield, who's created suits for everyone from Rag & Bone to President Bill Clinton, teamed up with Hillman to produce the limited-edition blazers for Edition01. The Joanna, a deep burgundy two-button affair with a black lapel, is lined in lace. The Hillman is a cropped tuxedo jacket in navy blue with white lapels.
Both are made to order and are available for preorder on ShopBazaar.com. A look at the jackets here in the gallery.

Where academic success is concerned, you've got to walk the walk (or, in this case, dress the part) and talk the talk (go to class and study hard). While we can't guarantee you'll ace your first tests — although we hope you do! — we can help you put a sophisticated spin on your class-bound wares. One easy solution? The blazer. It's the perfect mix of menswear-inspired tailoring, clean lines, and classic preppy style, and more often than not, we're apt to conjure up images of our schoolgirl uniforms that came complete with this polished piece. We know the traditional tweed blazer isn't for everyone, we know that sometimes all you want to do is go for the bold-shouldered power look, and we know that, when in doubt, a well-structured black blazer can pull any outfit together. So we've culled the seven must-have styles that should be at the top of your back-to-school shopping list . . . because we also know you're primed and ready to be an academic (and sartorial) trailblazer.
We know it's hard to let go of that Summer break freedom, but let's face the facts: we can hear those (figurative) school bells beckoning the return of class, study sessions, and dorm life. Before you're knee-deep in textbook shopping, we've made the process of back-to-school shopping an easy and superstylish one. Instead of going overboard on one-off pieces, focus on investing in staples that can not only play part in a chic transitional wardrobe, but nail the whole schoolgirl-meets-sophisticated-lady vibe, too. We've found the perfect dark-wash cigarette jeans that will get you through late-night library brainstorms and look great on your first date with the boy across the hall. There's also the footwear must haves: a classic ankle boot, a statement metallic sandal, and an Audrey Hepburn-inspired skimmer flat in the sweetest nude hue. Lest we forget, we've culled a versatile mix of slinky sheaths, polished layers, and eye-catching accents, too. It's time to put those erudite skills to the test; first up, commit this equation to memory — 16 styling essentials, 17 ways to wear them, with an infinite number of future outfit combo possibilities to ace the Fall semester.
