>> Rachel Zoe has "no idea" what annual sales might be for her new eponymous collection, which hits a long list of stores in July: Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Intermix, Selfridges, Kirna Zabete, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Shopbop.com. But she says she went numb when she heard who had bought the line: “It was this dream that I never thought would be reality because I was petrified — I was. I feel so complete now becoming a designer and having my son. I’m that happiest that I’ve ever been in my life.”
Neiman Marcus, for one, is launching Zoe's sportswear, handbags, and shoes at all 41 of its doors, plus online and at Bergdorf Goodman; "The rollout across the entire Neiman Marcus Group is a rare endorsement of a fledgling brand," WWD notes. Why the decision? "She is a real talent,” Ken Downing, SVP and fashion director of Neiman Marcus, notes of Zoe. “She understands the customer and she’s brought an effortless chic to the collection. The clothes are going to appeal to women of many ages. And, she’s got an amazing name.”
Next up for Zoe? The fourth season of The Rachel Zoe Project, which will begin airing on Bravo in July; and jewelry for Fall 2012. “I wish it were for spring,” Zoe says. “I am dying to do jewelry. I’m gagging.”
Have a shopping addiction? Then surely you're familiar with Bloomingdale's iconic, brown shopping bags. The "little," "medium," and "big" brown bags have become classic designs, and now the bag has made its way to tech accessories. The laptop case is designed to mimic the shopping bags.
It's constructed from coated canvas and lined with soft, brown fabric; the bag also features an interior pocket and shoulder strap and fits 14-inch (or under) laptops like a glove.
As if Diane von Furstenberg didn't have enough on her plate, she's decided to team up with Bloomingdale's to debut a new homewear collection on Feb. 28. We caught up with the designer during New York Fashion Week, where she showed us her vintage-inspired collection filled with her signature prints and unique artistic touch. DVF tells us her domestic secret when it comes to designing for the home and how many duvet covers you really need.
Today, Diane von Furstenberg launched her debut home collection, walking reporters through the bedding, tabletop, and decorative accessories at the Bloomingdale's flagship store on 59th Street and Lexington Avenue in New York City.
Von Furstenberg stated, "Design your life the way you want to live," and that's exactly what her home collection represents, with vibrant, apparel-inspired patterns and pieces that will last her customers through every stage of their lives. The Diane von Furstenberg Home collection is available now at Bloomingdale's, Bloomingdales.com, and DVF.com.
Von Furstenberg is absolutely charming as she explains the collection. Check out what she has to say about the number of duvet covers one should own, and many more fun ideas, when you read more

>> Rachel Zoe is a little ahead of the fashion schedule in a lot of ways — as everyone is just gearing up to premiere their Fall 2011 collections, she's already debuted her signature collection for Fall, sold it to Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, and Intermix, finished her Resort 2012 collection, and started on Spring 2012. Some of the exigency could be blamed on her impending baby boy, due in March, who is also preventing her from traveling to Fashion Week this season.
One of the bestsellers for Zoe's Fall 2011 collection, Style.com reports, is a black batwing top with columns of gold sequins (left) — see the full collection for the first time in the gallery. And as for the collection's infamous dress that looks strikingly similar to a vintage frock Zoe styled years back, the designer-cum-stylist says, "I've been subconsciously building this collection in my mind for a long time. There are a million vintage pieces that have inspired me, and every other designer in the world."
But don't expect to see Zoe dress Anne Hathaway in her own collection for the Oscars — Zoe is said to be charging Hathaway an "astronomical" fee for the occasion, and with such a fee comes a certain caliber of dress. "If you're gonna use couture," she tells Style.com, "it should be at the Academy Awards."
Need some bedding to match your favorite handbag? You're in luck, because Kate Spade New York is launching a bedding collection that will echo the simple silhouettes, vibrant colors, and classic sophistication that have defined its products. Available exclusively through Bloomingdale's, you can snap up the new bedding beginning this month.
The collection will feature three patterns retailing for between $125-$500, with palettes of white and ivory, accented by pops of black, platinum, and chartreuse. Fabrics include luxe Egyptian cotton, sateen, jacquard, and matelasse.
The first of the three, shown here, is June Lane, whose detailing includes embroidered dragonflies and plush European shams that feature grosgrain ribbon trim. Take a look at the other two bedding designs in the collection!
Rachel Bilson was spotted taking a stylish stroll in LA, enjoying the California sun in a super-chic ensemble. She donned a simple, nude silk dress with chic open-toe wedges — and got the perfect pop of color via a coral cropped Vanessa Bruno blazer ($667). She accessorized with a Pamela Love statement necklace ($690), a quilted handbag, and her beloved Ray-Ban Wayfarers. This is a perfect example of how Rachel does dressed-up right.
