Su Casa: KatyHarper's Finished Living Room
Here's a post from CasaSugar Community member KatyHarper from the Su Casa group:
My husband and I have just moved into our new house, and I've finally finished decorating (for now, at least). The living room presented a bit of a challenge at first, because it's long and narrow. It's completely open to the dining room and kitchen, which is what I wanted. These rooms have a mix of new items, antiques, Ikea stuff, TJ Maxx stuff, random finds, family hand-me-downs, and so forth. I like it, because it feels collected — which it is. I hate it when rooms feel like you walked into a Rooms To Go and shouted, "I'll take it all!"
Trusty Husband and I got new furniture for this room, since the furniture we both had before wouldn't fit. Since the space is so narrow, I had to go with a glass coffee table (from Overstock) so it wouldn't visually take up much space. The oriental rug was my mom's, and I love the teals and rusty oranges in it. The throw pillows are from World Market, Pier 1, and TJ Maxx — I love combining colors and patterns — that ikat pillow is my fave. Our couch came from Haverty's, and the leather chairs are World Market. My mom gave me the framed palm prints a few years ago, and they're one of my favorite things I own.
(Un)Guilty Pleasure of the Day: Bellatrix Floral Chiffon Blouse
With Spring in the air, we're after floral pieces to channel the season's lightness. This Bellatrix Floral Chiffon Blouse caught our eye for doing just that in a breezy, flowy silhouette with a sweet flowered print. It's easy, feminine, and relaxed enough to wear in or out of the office, depending on how you choose to style it up. But really, the added appeal is the $68 guilt-free price point for a piece we'll wear all season.
(Un)Guilty Pleasure of the Day: Emma Stine Stud Earrings
When we saw these heart and arrow stud earrings, we had to have them. They're quirky, fun, and completely cool. They will look great with everything, because they're small and subtle. The best part? They're only $22! Get your own before they're gone!
Back to School on a Budget! Fab Shoes Under $50
So now you've got your back to school wardrobe of dresses, bags, outerwear, and denim all for very reasonable prices, but let's be honest, where would we be without a good pair of shoes? Me, I would be a goner. Total shoe-fiend right here. In the order of getting dressed in the morning, shoes go on last, and we all know the best is saved for last.
Sadly, my appetite for shoes is bigger than the size of my wallet, but that doesn't mean I am forced to wallow in total misery, it just means I have to be more careful about what I pick and choose (and maybe wait for a sale or two!). But screw waiting: right here, right now, I introduce to you a whole bounty of babely under-$50 shoes, ripe for the picking.
On Our Radar: Dominique Cohen Jewelry for Target

Target has had many wonderful collaborations with fabulous designers, but this one with luxury jeweler Dominique Cohen is by far my favorite! I have never professed myself a bling-bling girl, but these antique-looking jewels have got me in a tizzy. I want to run to Target ASAP to see them in person.
Take this Dominique Cohen Bow Chain Necklace with Bow Pendant, $35, which is pretty and affordable. It has a a bit of femininity with the bow and some masculinity with the black chain. A match made in fashion heaven!

Back to School on a Budget! Fab Denim Under $50
Dresses are lovely, bags are important, but denim is a back-to-school staple. Why? Because you'll practically live in them for the next few years. That's why it's vital to have a few pairs that are inexpensive, flattering and of-the-moment. This Fall try to acquire some skinnies, wide-leg, high-waisted and colored styles. They will make your life easier because all you'll need to do in the morning is throw on a pair, grab a blouse and you're ready for class! Well, maybe not ready for class - that requires doing homework - but ready to dazzle the class!
Back to School on a Budget! Fab Bags Under $50
Carrying the right school bag is equally as important as wearing the most standout heels at a party. Though your school bag doesn't determine your grades, it sure does determine your friends...and Bookworms, Wild Things, Glamour Girls and everybody else all need a core group of pals to get them through the year.
Realizing that some fashionistas have spending limits, I found the best back-to-school bags for under $50. Whether you like traditional backpacks, modern messengers or patterned totes, there's bound to be something that rocks your school-world!
