OnSugar Blog: 5 Must Haves For a Clean, Stylish, Happy Baby and Mommy

Lots of moms and mommies-to-be like to think out loud, and Nicole Pearl, the Beauty Girl is one of them.

Lots of moms and mommies-to-be like to think out loud, and Nicole Pearl, the Beauty Girl is one of them. She recently posted about her favorite products for baby and mom on her The Beauty Girl blog.

It's only Tuesday and it's already been a big week of celeb news: Kim K's divorcing and Jessica Simpson's having a baby! Breakups suck, but personal experience proves they make you stronger. Babies, on the other hand, are the biggest gift of love. I can't believe my little man Rex is already 8 weeks old! I admit, the past couple of months have been grueling between the sleepless nights and never-ending bouts of spit up. But they've also been the most rewarding, magical moments of my life.

Jessica's announcement got me thinking about how far I've come as a mom. Like, I went from not knowing what a breast pump was to being able to put the parts together in the dark. And the full five minutes it once took me to change a diaper has been shaved down to seconds. In just two months, I've become fluent in baby from gadgets to products. I still have a lot to learn, and I've been grateful to all the moms who have shared their tips with me. Now, it's my turn to pay it forward. I've listed a few of my favorite finds (more installments to come!). Hopefully these will come in just as handy for baby Simpson and all the future tots-to-be.

Burt's Bees Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash: After washing Rex's hair and body with this, he smells just like a baby should — fresh, clean and yummy all at once. I've been sent a lot of baby bath products from a bunch of different companies and will report back on the others as I give them a try.

Kicky Pants, Ralph Lauren and Splendid onesies: A onesie is the baby equivalent of a dress. Just slip it on and the look is complete. From preppy to hipster, I love dressing Rex up in stylish looks, and I've fallen in love with the fashions from these three brands. Kicky Pants onesies come in fun prints and are made with a bamboo fabric that's so soft, I wish they made clothes for adults. Rex may as well be a model for Ralph Lauren because every other thing he wears is RL baby. From the most precious white nightie to a velour jumper, there's a wealth of adorable options, especially for boys. Splendid wins for creating mini versions of fashions that you'd wear yourself. Like the brand's adult line, the clothes are comfy and cute. Check out Rex in the lower photo with his teddy. He's rocking a Splendid hooded onesie.

Baby Aquaphor: I oil Rex up from head to toe every night. I keep a tub by his changing table and a tube in my diaper bag. I swear by this ointment. It's kept his pretty baby face acne free, has fended off diaper rash and stopped the first signs of cradle cap in its tracks.

Welcome back to BellaSugar's series on honeymoon beauty. Don't forget to read the last two parts about for beauty essentials for a tropical trip and the best beauty brands to check out to snatch up vacation. For those of you more natural or daring brides who are planning a thrill-seeking adventure like hiking in the rain forest, heli-skiing or sailing around the world, don't overlook your beauty essentials. Here are three must-haves for an adventurous honeymoon.

I can't stress enough the importance of packing sunscreen. If you are going to be doing activities outside, a bad sunburn can ruin your once-in-a-lifetime vacation!

Lancome has just come out with a new UV Expert SPF 20 Sunscreen ($35) with Mexoryl SX, one of the few ingredients to block harmful and age-accelerating UVA Rays. Pack it, wear it and face the sun with confidence!

Fab Finding Follow Up: A New Eye Cream

Last week I ranted and raved - not in a good way - about my current eye cream situation.

Last week I ranted and raved - not in a good way - about my current eye cream situation. I asked you all for your beauty advice and to help me Fab Find a new one. You all seemed very excited for this beauty challenge and this was one of the reasons we created Beauty Marks. The culprit was this Chella Intensive Formula Eye Crema, that was way too expensive ($100) for what it turned out to be.

To see all the finds click here. And the winner is...Clinique eye cream! I decided to go with a classic to prevent any disappointment. To learn what a Fab Find is and how to make one, click here.

Thanks for your help everyone!

Eye Cream #1, found by RCLdesigngirl, was mentioned by two of you and is made by such a classic cosmetic brand. The Clinique Advanced Stop Signs Eye SPF 15, is $32.50 and I can't wait to try it! Here's what RCLdesigngirl had to say about it: It moisturizes without feeling sticky, it doesn't form a film on the surface of your skin, and it does what it says!

Totally Natural Lip Balms

I am something of a lip balm addict, but while I could sing its praises for days on end, there's one thing I don't like about lip balm.

I am something of a lip balm addict, but while I could sing its praises for days on end, there's one thing I don't like about lip balm. Almost all of the standard offerings on the market contain petroleum, which is not only eco-unfriendly but also not something you really want in your mouth. Fortunately, there are plenty of great petroleum-free lip balms on the market nowadays that work just as well using other more natural oils. Here are some of my favorites.

Miessence Jaffa Lip Balm, $8.95, available here. This yummy orange- and vanilla-flavored balm uses cocoa butter, safflower, and avocado oils in an easy-to-squeeze tube.

Hamadi Lip Balm, $10, available here. This classy balm soothes with shea butter, avocado oil, and jojoba oil, while tea tree oil acts as a toner.

Nature's Gate Organics Neroli Orange & Chocolate Mint Lip Balm , $3.50, available here. This cute little tin contains a formula that uses castor seed oil, beeswax, apricot kernel oil, and several other certified organic ingredients.

As you know from reading this site, I have a serious lipgloss addiction. I especially love ones that I happen to pick up at the drugstore while shopping for other necessities. Today's find is Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer.

It's basically the World's Best Lip Balm with a hint of color added. It comes in 7 different shades and is 100% natural and not tested on animals. But the best part is that it is only $3.69 and can be purchased at your local drugstore. You can also buy it online here
