Katie Holmes is on the cover of the August issue of C Magazine. The actress posed for the spread before news broke of her plans to split from husband Tom Cruise. During the accompanying interview, Katie was cagey when talking about Tom. When asked if having Suri brought her and Tom closer together, Katie responded, "I don't know. I mean . . . I don't know. People have been having babies a long time."
Katie further talked about being happy that her work and life balance is finally aligned, after spending her teen years hard at work on Dawson's Creek. She said, "I feel like I worked so much at such a young age that I really wanted to have life experiences. I feel more balanced and like I have more to bring to the table . . . I always felt like I wanted to catch up [in my personal life] to what I was doing [in my career]."
