Target matches its mass market forces with Neiman Marcus's department store prowess for an unprecedented retail adventure: 24 CFDA designers will create limited-edition items for a 50-piece Holiday collection that will hit both retailers' brick-and-mortar nationwide locations and online outlets Dec. 1.

Diane von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam, Jason Wu, Marc Jacobs, Altuzarra, Band of Outsiders, Brian Atwood, Eddie Borgo, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler, Rag & Bone, Robert Rodriguez, Rodarte, Skaist-Taylor, Thom Browne, Lela Rose, Marchesa, Philip Crangi, Tory Burch, Alice + Olivia, Judith Leiber, and Tracy Reese are all involved. There will be men's, women's, and children's clothing and accessories, as well as lifestyle items, such as pet, sporting, and home goods. Most items in the collection — titled, appropriately, The Target + Neiman Marcus Holiday Collection — will cost under $60, though prices will start at $7.99 and top out at $499.

"This is kind of groundbreaking," Neiman Marcus's president and CEO, Karen Katz, told WWD. "We've set the stage for a redefining moment in retail," Gregg Steinhafel, Target Corp's president, chairman, and CEO, agreed.

In addition to creating this ultimate Holiday extravaganza, Target and Neiman Marcus will donate a total of $1 million dollars to the CFDA. "I can think of no better finale to CFDA's 50th anniversary celebration than through this extraordinary designer collaboration," CFDA president — and participating designer — Diane von Furstenberg explained.

A look at the entire collection in all its glory, here.

DVF Wants You to Bid on "Amazing Fashion Experiences" For Sandy Relief

When Diane von Furstenberg speaks, people tend to listen.

When Diane von Furstenberg speaks, people tend to listen. And hopefully her new PSA for an online auction benefiting the victims of Hurricane Sandy will get people to open their wallets, too.

The CharityBuzz auction is a partnership between the CFDA and Vogue and includes some "amazing fashion experiences," von Furstenberg says in the video. "You can have lunch with me, attend a fashion show with Anna Wintour, or meet Michael Kors." Proceeds will go to the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City and other relief organizations in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Current bidding on a week-long stay at Tommy Hilfiger's private estate in Mustique stands at $21,000, and one donor has ponied up $16,000 to attend next year's Met Gala with Wintour and Costume Institute curator Andrew Bolton. But there's still time to bid on those and other lots, like the chance to attend Victoria Beckham's Fall 2013 show, or to take home the entire Prabal Gurung for Target collection before it reaches stores. The auction closes on Dec. 5.

Behind the Scenes With Karlie Kloss on the Set of the Target-Neiman Marcus Campaign

Back in July, when Target and Neiman Marcus announced that Karlie Kloss, Craig McDean, and Quentin Jones were joining forces for the brands' CFDA collaboration campaign, we knew that we would all be in for a real treat. Now that the first glimpse of that campaign is finally out, it's pretty safe to say that we were right. In the just-released behind-the-scenes video, Karlie Kloss frolics on set with Quentin Jones's black-and-white photo cutouts, resulting in a collage of images that promises to look mod and modern — all at the same time."Karlie Kloss is, of course, stunningly beautiful, but I knew that we could get a performance out of her that would really bring this campaign to life," Robin Derrick, executive creative director of Spring Studios, explained. For her part, Kloss seemed quite happy to be involved as well: "You know, it's exciting to be part of such a cool collaboration."

Emma Stone and Miranda Kerr Hit a Stylish and Star-Studded CFDA Bash

Emma Stone and Miranda Kerr were among the celebs who stepped out last night for the ninth annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards in NYC.

Emma Stone and Miranda Kerr were among the celebs who stepped out last night for the ninth annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards in NYC. As in years past, the attendees dressed up in clothes by — and attend the event with — a certain designer. Ashley Greene donned a racy Wes Gordon number, arriving with Wes himself. Ashley and Dakota Fanning, who donned Jason Wu, were fresh from LA and Monday's US premiere of Breaking Dawn Part 2. Other attendees included Liv Tyler, Karlie Kloss, and Allison Williams — click through to see them all in our gallery.

Emma Stone wore Burberry Prorsum to mingle with that brand's creative director, Christopher Bailey, and help hand out the night's big honors. The evening's main prize, a $300,000 grant to grow a business, went to Greg Chait of The Elder Statesman. Shoe designer Tabitha Simmons was the first runner-up, with jewelry maven Jennifer Meyer Maguire as second runner-up. Both Tabitha and Jennifer received $100,000 for their companies, and Jennifer was able to celebrate into the night alongside her husband, Tobey Maguire.
