Leave it to Heidi Klum to bring out the sexy side of things in this peach-toned, body-hugging Calvin Klein. Turquoise jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz keeps the ensemble from looking too drab, and Heidi's signature long, straight hair gives a chic finish. Peach makeup tops it all off for a cohesive feel. Are you loving the color combinations on this look, or does it miss the mark?

Critics' Choice Awards: Shailene Woodley
The Descendants' Shailene Woodley opted for a slinky silver Calvin Klein number, and with such a sexy silhouette, the actress didn't need to do much in the way of accessorizing. The real showstopping detail? The dress's skin-baring backless detail, which left nothing to hide. She wore her ombré-tinged hair sleek and straight but added a subtle hint of metallic eyeliner for a pop of color. Do you think Shailene pulled off this surprisingly daring look?

Calvin Klein Pre-Fall 2012

Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel Roll Out the Red Carpet at the 2011 MoMA Film Benefit
>> Chanel and New York's Museum of Modern Art honored Pedro Almodovar last night at the museum's annual film benefit. “Everyone loves Pedro Almodóvar,” Karl Lagerfeld said of the lengthy guest list. “He is a genius.”
Many were thus dressed in Chanel — Sarah Jessica Parker, Anna Wintour, Elizabeth Olsen, Chloe Moretz — save a few: Lara Stone came in Calvin Klein, Joan Smalls in Tom Ford, Miranda Kerr in Peter Pilotto, and Karen Elson in Roberto Cavalli.
Altuzarra Takes Home the Big Prize at the 2011 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards
>> Last night at Skylight studios in New York, the 2011 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winners were announced. Joseph Altuzarra, a favorite the past two years running, took home this year's prize — $300,000 and a year-long mentorship. But the impact of the award lasts much longer than a year, CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg explained: "Once you are in the Fashion Fund, we will protect you and continue to provide you with opportunities.” Pamela Love and Creature of the Wind's Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters were named runners-up, collecting $100,000 each.
Calvin Klein gave this year's keynote speech, focusing on his own days as a young designer. “I started out with less money than probably all of you nominees tonight,” he told the crowd. Of coming up in the '60s and ’70s, he noted: “I dealt with truck men, unions, and gangsters. I got a call from the Gambinos one day, telling me, ‘We are your truck men.’”
Altuzarra's friend and the 2008 Fashion Fund winner, Alexander Wang, told him to "just zone out" during Klein's speech, and just before Rooney Mara announced Altuzarra as winner, von Furstenberg went over to the designer's table, pinched his cheek, and asked him something in French. “She asked me if I went to pee,” Altuzarra told The New York Times. When the announcement finally came, Altuzarra told the audience, “I’m so grateful and humbled.” Love, while accepting her award, announced: “I didn’t prepare anything because I didn’t expect this — and I’m shaking!” before running backstage to hug her fiancé, Matthew Nelson. And Gabier said to the crowd, “You’ve made us really happy and we hope to make you really proud.”
Christian Louboutin — and Friends — Fete 20 Years of Shoes with Barneys
>> Last night, Christian Louboutin joined up with Barneys to fete the launch of his eponymous book — as well as the 20th anniversary of his brand — in New York.
The designer's longtime friends (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen), collaborators (Marchesa's Keren Craig), and design peers (Calvin Klein, who left with an autographed copy of the tome) showed up in support. As did more than a few fans — sporting their Louboutin heels, of course. "I'm wearing my very first pair from 1997," Amanda Brooks told Style.com of her strappy red sandals. "He gave them to me as a thank you because I used to work at the Gagosian Gallery, across from the Carlyle, and he would call me on my lunch break to come over and model the shoes for him."
Blake Lively, who made headlines a year ago for carting 40 pairs of Louboutins away from the designer's sample sale, also stopped by: "My first pair was basic black, and after that, it was love — now I have hundreds." Clearly the feeling is mutual — Louboutin whisked her off her feet and carried her away after the event.
Calvin Klein on Addiction, Underwear, and His Boyfriend
>> Calvin Klein, who rarely gives an interview these days, sat down last night at the 92nd Street Y in New York to give his thoughts on everything from addiction to the current state of the brand he founded.
Topics of discussion ranged from the serious to the humorous. Klein, who has struggled with addiction in the past, says that he doesn't believe the "excuse" that the fashion industry makes one more susceptible to addiction: “I don’t think addiction is caused by stress on the job. It has more to do with childhood issues or other things; people in the industry use their work, but it's not that.” He also regaled the audience with an anecdote about his daughter, Marci, who during an interview several years ago apparently joked, "‘Every time I go to bed with some guy I’m looking at my dad’s underwear.'" Klein's response? “I said to my psychiatrist at the time, ‘I don’t think that’s very funny.’ He said ‘lighten up.’”
When asked about checking off the contents of his bucket list, Klein referred to his on-off boyfriend, 21-year-old Nick Gruber, who was in the audience: “I fell in love with a wonderful young man, and we recently went paragliding off Aspen Mountain.”
And as for how he feels about Calvin Klein the brand these days, he replied: "Sometimes when I see the visuals, I think if I were doing that I would do it differently — but I'm not. If I can't control it, why get upset about it?"

>> New York Fashion Week has come to a close this season, but not without a little kick at the end.
