Candice Swanepoel went from modeling a $10 million Victoria's Secret Fantasy Bra in NYC to working her stuff in a bikini in St. Barts. The beautiful model was hard at work on a photo shoot for the upcoming Victoria's Secret swimwear catalog, changing into several different two-pieces while modeling on the beach. Earlier this month, Candice was the star of the Victoria's Secret annual fashion show in the Big Apple, where she joined her fellow Angels Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Karlie Kloss on the runway. She got the special honor of wearing the Fantasy Bra, a one-of-a-kind bejeweled piece of lingerie that is made of crystals and precious gems. Fans can see the bra and Candice in action in December when the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will be aired on TV, but until then, there are plenty of photos from the show to check out.
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show went down at the Lexington Avenue Armory in NYC on Wednesday night, with appearances from its most famous Angels: Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, and Candice Swanepoel. All the action airs Dec. 10 on CBS, but before that, you can see all the fun from the makeup chair to the runway right here.
Adriana Lima, the longest-serving Angel in the show, was joined by a handful of newer models including Joan Smalls, Cara Delevingne, and Leonardo DiCaprio's current girlfriend, Toni Garrn. The models strutted their stuff on the runway in six separate segments — the "British Invasion" section featured a union jack-filled opening performance of "I Knew You Were Trouble" by Taylor Swift and Adriana sporting a special "Pearly Queen" look consisting of over 3,000 pearl buttons. The five following sections included "Birds of Paradise," "Parisian Nights," "Shipwrecked," "Snow Angels," and "PINK Network." There were a handful of memorable ensembles — Candice modeled the 2013 Fantasy Bra, covered in $10 million worth of diamonds, rubies, and sapphires, while Karlie Kloss donned an elaborate, psychedelic butterfly getup. Lindsay Ellingson also sported a superspecial look, wearing a special 3D printed costume (the first of its kind to ever be showcased by Victoria's Secret).
Absent from the brand's big night, of course, was former Angel Miranda Kerr, who parted ways from Victoria's Secret back in April. Despite being in Tokyo to promote her Elle Japan cover this week, Miranda offered words of support to her old coworkers by posting a throwback photo on Instagram with the caption, "Sending love and best wishes to the #vsangels from Japan."
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was filmed last night, and we went backstage during the madness! Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge, Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes, and the other Angels were all on standby, as well as supermodels Cara Delevingne and Joan Smalls, to chat about how they prep to wear next to nothing, and we got the details on what it takes to get gorgeous Victoria's Secret hair and skin (hint: lots of hair extensions and an unusual use for lipstick!). Join us backstage to see the models transform into Angels, and watch the 18th annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Tuesday, Dec. 10, on CBS. On Kirbie: Dolce Vita dress
Considering that Victoria's Secret models have no qualms about strutting their stuff in lingerie, it should come as no surprise that they like to show skin while letting their hair down. The models gathered at TAO Downtown in NYC on Wednesday night to celebrate a successful Victoria's Secret fashion show at the official afterparty. Karlie Kloss, who stole the show in a see-through bodysuit and cheeky onstage antics with performer Taylor Swift, wore a daring Cushnie et Ochs dress and cuddled up to Leonardo DiCaprio's current squeeze, Toni Garrn, on the red carpet. Interestingly enough, Toni wore a short black Anthony Vacarello dress which bore a strong resemblance to to a similar Vacarello frock that Leo's former flame, Gisele Bündchen, wore to the 2013 Met Gala earlier this year. Toni is becoming a regular at TAO, having celebrated Leo's birthday at the establishment on Sunday night.
Other afterparty guests included Candice Swanepoel, who traded the $10 million Fantasy Bra that she wore on the runway for a revealing white frock, and Angels Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Erin Heatheron, and Doutzen Kroes.
Even after the supersexy catwalk, the Victoria's Secret Angels kept the knockout looks coming. When the supermodels hit the afterparty, we noticed a seriously sultry feature on several of their dresses – Candice Swanepoel, Lily Donaldson, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Josephine Skriver all opted for down-to-there necklines. They ditched their push-up bras in favor of daring cuts, some all the way to the navel. Candice stepped out in a cream-colored Alexandre Vauthier cutout mini, and highlighted her plunging v with a Y-draped necklace. Meanwhile Lily Donaldson flaunted her figure in a lacy, lingerie-inspired dress.
Alessandra Ambrosio took an edgier approach in a red leather, moto-inspired mini with an open neckline, and Josephine Skriver also got the deep-v memo in a black-longsleeved minidress. Now, we're asking you — which of the barely-there look gets your vote?
All eyes will be on Candice Swanepoel when she hits the Victoria's Secret runway wearing the $10 million Fantasy Bra tonight! The longtime Angel has the honor of opening the show, and she recently visited POPSUGAR Live! to speak about her work with the brand. Candice answered many of the most pressing questions about being a Victoria's Secret Angel, including: what's going through her mind when she hits that catwalk?
The Angels will be shaking their tail feathers down the runway for the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, but even these gravity-defying knockouts can still use some extraspecial support. From a pop rocker to an Internet kingpin, get ready to meet five hot guys who are the wind beneath their Angels' wings!
The countdown is on: in less than a week, Candice Swanepoel will strut down the runway of the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show wearing the most expensive Fantasy Bra in almost 10 years. The $10 million — yes, you read that correctly — showstopper, designed by the jewelry brand Mouawad, soared in value from last year's 20-carat floral design and will feature 4,200 precious gems from around the world, including rubies, diamonds, and yellow sapphires.
The lucky Angel will be following in the footsteps of Gisele Bündchen, Heidi Klum, Karolina Kurkova, and most recently Alessandra Ambrosio when she works the design, which centers on a 52-carat teardrop ruby. As we count down to this year's show — it airs Dec. 10 on CBS — see all the sparklers that wowed on runways past, and find out where this bra stacks up in the carat and dollar count.
