>> THE MODELIZER —Last night, at the Cinema Society screening of Easy Virtue, Sessilee Lopez teased some of her upcoming work: "There’s something special coming out in September that I’m not really allowed to talk about. It’s amazing.” Presumedly she's referring to that mysterious London cover shoot that involved her, Chanel Iman, Jourdan Dunn, and Arlenis Sosa Pena, but unfortunately, we still don't know the publisher. I wonder if Chanel Iman imagined one day she would be up against her model idol Iman. It's times like this you better believe my job can be challenging. Have you perused and voted on all of tonight's Costume Institute Gala red carpet fare? It came down to slinky colorless dresses for your favorites. But where they lacked in color, they made for up in style, drama, and personality. Vote on the best dressed and stay tuned for more Met fun tomorrow!

Model cutie Chanel Iman usually wears short skirts and jeans so it's fun to see her in something so glamorous. For this special evening, she chose to wear a plunging animal print Zac Posen tiered gown, with a lariat necklace that lends major shine. Are you interested?

I just got my hands on Matthew Williamson for H&M's debut collection, but now it's all about the upcoming Summer line. Celebrities like Mary-Kate Olsen, Helena Christensen, and Olivia Palermo went all aboard The Majesty boat that was docked at the South Street Seaport in Manhattan. Pink neon lights shone while a performance by Grace Jones amped up the crowd. Those lucky enough to be on board were able to view the Summer collection on models who sashayed throughout the party. "I think it's an amazing collaboration and I think H&M makes really great choices in the designers they pick and Matthew is a given for H&M," said Helena Christensen. The line will be available May 14, but in the meantime, check out the Williamson-wearing attendees.
>> THE MODELIZER —More details on that mysterious "major" London cover shoot that Sessilee Lopez and Chanel Iman both twittered about last Friday — apparently they were joined by Jourdan Dunn and Arlenis Sosa Pena, and according to The Imagist's sources, it's not the cover but the editorial inside that will have followers "sprinting down to the newstand." It's still unclear which magazine commissioned the shoot — some say i-D (although Chanel is on the May 2009 cover), some say a Vogue. [The Imagist, Fashion Copious]
>> THE MODELIZER —Is someone looking to respond to last July's iconic Vogue Italia dedicated to black models? Last Friday, Sessilee Lopez and Chanel Iman both twittered within the span of a day about a shoot in London, which seems to place them together. First, Chanel early in the morning: "IN London Shooting a MAJOR SURPRISE COVER!!!!Its top secret can't give it away!!" followed by Sessilee in the evening: "Leaving London now!!! My God when you guys see the photos from this shoot you will die, all i can say is ITS A MAJOR MOMENT IN FASHION!!!!!" Their excitement has prompted speculation that the shoot is for an upcoming Vogue Paris, Vogue UK, or Love cover, but there are no further clues to go by. >> Some models are forthcoming about who they're dating, like Doutzen Kroes, who's been seeing DJ Ruckus for a little over a year — they met at a Vogue party in 2007 — while some, like Chanel Iman, like to keep their fans guessing. In the May 2009 issue of Vogue, Chanel — who finally comes clean about dating rapper Tyga, a relationship rumored since late last year — Doutzen, plus four other models pose with their boys for Patrick Demarchelier.
Some relationships blossomed within the industry — Julia Stegner and Steven Pan, who is Steven Meisel's first assistant; Caroline Trentini and Victor Demarchelier, who first saw each other when he was assisting his father Patrick on a shoot three years ago; Arlenis Sosa Pena and model Rene Rodriguez, who met through their agent; while some went outside the industry — Doutzen, Chanel, and Anna Maria Jagodzinska, who sees economics grad student Duncan Winecoff. Curiously missing from the spread (though she appears elsewhere in the issue)? Lily Donaldson and Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld.
>> Friday evening while Marc Jacobs was partying in Brazil, Jessica Stam went out a little closer to home. She and her boyfriend for the better part of the past year, Huey Lewis's son Austin Cregg, attended the New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden in New York. Perhaps the outing was in celebration of her House of Style segment, which aired on Saturday? Although the show received less than stellar reviews — MTV must have known, burying it on Saturday afternoon — clips are up online, with one of Chanel Iman's segments here and another, featuring an Erin Fetherston dinner party, here.
House of Style fans, don't forget to tune into MTV tomorrow at 3 p.m. (EDT/PDT) for the revival of the popular '90s fashion TV show. MTV has partnered with Teen Vogue to bring you must-have items, celebrity fashion stories, designer DIYs, style secrets, and more. SI swimsuit cover model Bar Refaeli hosts, while Chanel Iman serves as correspondent. I'm stoked, are you?
