Hudson Kroenig: 4-Year-Old Male Model and Chanel Muse

We're happy to present this article from our partner site Yahoo! Shine:

Hudson Kroenig: remember that name. He's fashion's rising runway star. He's also four.

On Tuesday night, Hudson walked his third Chanel runway show, at the annual Chanel Metiers d'Art collection in Scotland. Dressed like Little Lord Fauntleroy in a bowed blouse, knickers, kilt, and a velvet beret, it was the kind of outfit that would prompt most kids his age to throw a tantrum. But Hudson is a professional.

At age one, he was photographed for German Vogue. By two he was taking Paris' fashion week by storm, walking for Chanel hand in hand with his father Brad. By four he had two campaigns (Fendi, Dolce&Gabbana), and several glossy photo shoots (W, Harper's Bazaar, Pirelli Calendar) under his belt.

Hudson was born into the industry. The 32-year-old Brad Kroenig is one of the leading male supermodels in the industry. After rising the ranks from Abercrombie poster-boy to the face of Chanel, Brad became close with Karl Lagerfeld, the iconic brand's creative lead. When Hudson was born in 2008, he named the eccentric designer as his son's godfather.

Read on to learn more about Karl's cutest and smallest muse.

Raf Simons Working Fast to Make Dior More Like Chanel

Raf Simons says he's working on turning Dior into a brand that everyone in the world will recognize as soon as they see it — sort of like Chanel.

Raf Simons says he's working on turning Dior into a brand that everyone in the world will recognize as soon as they see it — sort of like Chanel.

"The Chanel woman? I don't even need to see, I smell her from round the corner, but I don't recognize the Dior woman," Simons said in an interview for the January issue of Vogue UK. "I want to work on that fast. Chanel has the deux-pièces with the pockets, or the bouclé, but what is it for Dior nowadays? I can't say."

Eventually, Simons wants Dior to be something that appeals to a wide variety of people.

"Dior's ultimate obsession is that he wanted [the public] to wear it. I want them to wear it on the street," he said. "If it doesn't relate to the outside, then it would be very theatrical for me."

That mission — to make serious and wearable clothing for Dior — has guided Simons's short tenure at the French fashion house, and even extends to his couture collections.

"I want to get away from couture just being done for a picture, or for a single moment on the red carpet," he said in an interview with Vogue Australia last month. "I want to try and convince women that couture can be worn in the day and that there's a reality and a relevance there, because that's what Mr. Christian Dior wanted. In my opinion, Christian Dior was never, ever theater."

When the Winter chill zaps out all of your styling inspiration, look no further than Poppy Delevingne for an instant pick-me-up. A gold embellished dress peeks underneath her warm outerwear, while a blue quilted Chanel clutch and fur lined leather gloves complete her look. It's easy to re-create this look for your next holiday party outing; just top off your party dress with a long Winter coat and tack on the stunning accessories — don't forget the bright red lip. This Is What It Would Look Like If Coco Chanel Worked For Mary, Queen of Scots

Linlithgow Palace — the semiroofless, crumbling Scottish castle where Mary, Queen of Scots, was born — was the venue Karl Lagerfeld transformed for his annual Chanel Métiers d'Art collection Tuesday night.

Linlithgow Palace — the semiroofless, crumbling Scottish castle where Mary, Queen of Scots, was born — was the venue Karl Lagerfeld transformed for his annual Chanel Métiers d'Art collection Tuesday night.

"I like the idea of Mary Stuart, as a former Queen of France who became a kind of fashion icon of another period than Chanel, who was a kind of Queen of French fashion, too," Lagerfeld said of why he chose the location. "I like the encounter — it never happened, it never could happen — but I like the idea of those two women involved with Scotland in very different ways."

Lagerfeld uses his Pre-Fall collections as an opportunity to highlight Chanel's craftsmanship, and this offering, filled with '90s shapes and layering that pointed to grunge, was heavy on colorful knitwear produced by the Scottish mill Barrie. Argyle was featured prominently and appeared on pullover sweaters and stockings, and one oversize cardigan modeled by Scottish-born Stella Tennant combined Fair Isle patterns with colorful tweeds. Four-year-old Hudson Kroenig, who walked down the runway with his model father, Brad, wore a tartan kilt.

To underscore the inspiration, Lagerfeld staged bagpipe players outside of the show. Inside the drafty space, attendees kept warm with knit blankets and fires set inside the square runway.

We're willing to bet all those layers of wool kept the models pretty warm, too. A look at the show, here in the gallery.

Chanel Goes Scottish For Its Métiers d'Art Pre-Fall Runway Show

For Chanel's annual Métiers d'Art collection — a Pre-Fall collection that focuses on a signature aspect of the fashion house — Karl Lagerfeld transported everyone to Scotland.

For Chanel's annual Métiers d'Art collection — a Pre-Fall collection that focuses on a signature aspect of the fashion house — Karl Lagerfeld transported everyone to Scotland. Quick history lesson: Coco Chanel used to frequent Scotland in the '20s during her love affair with the Duke of Westminster, and consequently, her time in the country greatly influenced her designs during that time. Yesterday, Karl Lagerfeld re-created that special moment in Chanel history in true grandiose form with a show that took place at the Linlithgow Palace. Yes, leave it to Karl to hold a fashion show in the same castle Mary Queen of Scots was born in. With front-row attendees like Poppy Delevingne and Caroline Sieber watching closely, Karl showcased superluxurious looks with gorgeous knits from the iconic Scottish cashmere brand Barrie Knitwear, sumptuous plaid and tartan dresses, and cozy outerwear. "It's the idea of Scotland, the mix of Coco Chanel and Mary Stuart — two queens of fashion," said Lagerfeld. As usual, Lagerfeld injected a modern touch into the collection via printed tights, baggy shorts, and '90s grungy military boots. The results? A collection we'd like to get our hands on ASAP. After presenting the Resort 2013 collection at Versailles, it's only fitting that Chanel should expand on the theme with an ad campaign that channels the chateau's most famous resident: Marie Antoinette. Dressed in decadent layers of ruffled pastels and styled with the requisite courtesan makeup and big hair, Cara Delevingne plays the ill-fated queen with plenty of pomp and sass — and we think it all comes together quite nicely.
