The start of a new year brings a great opportunity to reflect — we can look back on what we accomplished, and make resolutions for the coming 12 months. I always look forward to cleaning out the old closet and making room for fresh new pieces. With less than 48 hours until a brand-new year, I thought it necessary to highlight some of the things I'm planning — and coveting — when the clock strikes midnight. Christian Siriano's Version of the Croc Rain Boot . . . For $50
We have to wait a while before we can get our feet in Christian Siriano's sexy Spring '11 creations for Payless. To keep us distracted, let's turn to his cool Fall footwear — more specifically, these Christian Siriano For Payless Storm Rain Boots ($50). Do they look familiar? That's because they're a less expensive replica of the Jimmy Choo For Hunter croc boots. The perfect way to shield yourself from the droplets, and they won't cramp your credit.
Sneak Peek! Christian Siriano's Spring '11 Designs For Payless Are Hot to the Max
We were huge fans of Christian Siriano during his Project Runway days, so it's exciting to see him flourish. One avenue he's been using to keep his creativity flowing is his collaboration with Payless. The latest one for Spring '11, which just got shown on the NYFW catwalk, is the fiercest yet. Towering platforms with all sorts of straps and cool geometric heels. Check them out.
On Our Radar: Christian Siriano on the Cheap
Project Runway fave Christian Siriano is taking his design to the masses. The talented young gun has teamed up with Payless ShoeSource to create a fabulously fierce collection of accessories and footwear. The line, ranging from $25 to $45, focuses on sky-high heels and embellished handbags inspired by Egyptian artifacts and hieroglyphics. “We started very high, very conceptual and very cool, and then made it wearable and marketable,” said Siriano. “I wanted it to be hard and rock-esque.” Siriano's collab with Payless will make its first appearance at New York Fashion Week. Sounds promising!
