What happens to the daughter of a mama who owned the runway? Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Heidi Klum, and Christie Brinkley's mugs have sold millions of magazines and their incredible bodies have been used to promote everything from swimsuits to shoes. And, then all of these women had baby girls — Kaia Gerber, Clementine and new baby Vaughn, Leni and Lou Samuels, and Alexa Ray Joel and Sailor Cook. Do you think young ladies have it easier in life since they were born to stunning moms or have it harder since the children will inevitably be compared to the models?
Claudia Schiffer Gives Birth to a Baby Girl!
Supermodel Claudia Schiffer gave birth to a baby girl on Friday! She and her husband, Matthew Vaughn are currently keeping secret about the newborn's name. We're curious if it will be another "c" name to complement the ones they chose for their son Casper, nearly 7, and daughter, Clementine, 5. The new mama and baby are said to be doing well. Like Scout Willis, this baby will find a bit of fame for being in Claudia's belly when she struck a Demi Moore Pose for German Vogue! Congratulations to the new party of five.
Claudia Schiffer Keeps Her Bump Loosely Covered
Supermodel mama-to-be Claudia Schiffer may be baring her belly (and a whole lot more) on the cover of German Vogue, but she takes a more covered-up approach to maternity style when dropping her tots off at school. Twice this week the expectant mom – who is due any day now – was spotted wearing flowing tunics over black leggings, paired with black booties and a tan shoulder bag. Earlier in her pregnancy, the experienced mum explained that she steers away form-fitting maternity clothes, choosing to cover her bump with larger versions of her favorite designers' loose-fitting tops that are tailored to suit her growing needs. While most of us won't be spotted sporting couture in the school drop-off line, her style can easily be replicated with the key pieces found below.
Versace Flashback — Which Supermodel Lineup Is Most Fab?

There are fashion ads, and then there are fashion ads. I remember growing up with the supermodel-infused ads of the '90s — is it bad to say those were the glory days? I mean, designers are still making statements, i.e. Givenchy's latest transgender venture, but sometimes pure eye candy is where it's at. I recently revisited these old-school Versace ads. I've been staring at them all week. Not that they should compete with each other, but a little friendly competition never hurt anyone. You have the girls — Christy, Nadja, Cindy, Stephanie, Claudia — a whole lot of legs . . . and socks! Do you prefer fruity Versace or pretty pastel Versace?

A Further Look into Claudia Schiffer's Bump-Filled Crop of Vogue Germany Editorials
>> The June 2010 issue of Vogue Germany dedicated to Claudia Schiffer, who is due with her third child any day, doesn't stop with a nude shot of the model, baby bump in full view, on the cover. Inside, editorials by Camilla Akrans, Franca Sozzani's son Francesco Carrozzini, Jan Welters, Ellen von Unwerth, and Karl Lagerfeld feature the pregnant model for the "A Celebration of Femininity"-themed issue.
It's not often that a model will pose for a whole issue's worth of spreads while pregnant, but Claudia says of the decision: "It was important to us to show how beautiful it is to be a woman and that you can have a positive attitude towards your body, including when you're expecting."
A selection of images from the issue in the gallery below.
Claudia Schiffer Strikes a Demi Moore Pose For German Vogue
Close to 20 years ago, Demi Moore posed pregnant for her then-controversial and now iconic Vanity Fair cover. It's Claudia Schiffer's turn. The supermodel, who is expecting her third child, was photographed by Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld in a similar sexy shot for the June issue of German Vogue. Schiffer explains that she wanted to do the nude shoot because, "It was important to us to show how beautiful it is to be a woman and that you can have a positive attitude towards your body, including when you're expecting."
A host of beautiful models, TV hosts, and pop stars have taken turns showing off their burgeoning bellies and striking copycat poses to the 1991 original, but Demi owns it. The actress is 47, and her daughters are nearly grown, but every time a naked pregnancy cover hits stands, we are reminded of the stunning one that paved the way. Do you think any of the pictures below compare to Demi's maternal in-the-buff debut?

Claudia Schiffer Captured Pregnant, Nude by Karl Lagerfeld for Vogue Germany June 2010
>> Of all the models who have been pregnant in the last year or so, it's Claudia Schiffer, who is expecting her third child, a girl, and reportedly due this month, who took the plunge and shot a nude cover. The image, which appears on Vogue Germany's June 2010 cover, was captured by Karl Lagerfeld and mimics Demi Moore's iconic 1991 Vanity Fair cover.
"My first Vogue cover twenty years ago was a very special moment and I'd never have thought that doing this edition with Vogue would give me such a similar buzz," Schiffer said. "It was important to us to show how beautiful it is to be a woman and that you can have a positive attitude towards your body, including when you're expecting."
The entire issue is reportedly filled with all-Claudia editorials, shot by Ellen von Unwerth, who discovered Schiffer, Camilla Akrans, Francesco Carrozzini, and Jan Welters.

Pregnant Style: Claudia Schiffer
Claudia Schiffer was photographed dropping her little one off at school in London in an eclectic, stylish ensemble. She wore an unexpected combo — mixing a floral print scarf and leopard dress — but it worked so well! Her favorite black suede booties, opaque tights, and a bag like this Chloe one tied it all together. Shop similar items now!
