No one, especially in New York, can be high-fashion and fabulous all the time--no matter your age, income, or geographic location everyone, once in a while, needs to run to the store to get milk. With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up we can't help but endorse a product that scores a little higher in the comfort department than most of our fashion suggestions. On the bright side we think Penfield has the most chic coats in this category. Pair this Novi Penfield coat ($200) with slim dark jeans, a pair of riding boots, and a knit hat and you'll be warm, comfortable, and not embarrassed to run into someone you know in the grocery store. For all the chic cotton pairings to wear under the fabulously warm coat, check out Net-a-Porter's 'home comforts' shopping list. You'd be surprised what a cotton jumpsuit will do to your life...

Fab Redux: Cream of the Crop

Cream, chocolate, and toffee — sounds like a scrumptious and sumptuous combination! But here's the Fabworthy part: cream, chocolate, and toffee are the colors that emblazon this pretty plaid 60s coat. The A-line cut is so flattering, especially with the belted waist, and the light hue is a breath of fresh air in a sea of dark Fall colors. The cream of the crop does always rise to the top...
The current bidding price is at $11.50 and the auction ends on Tuesday, November 6.
Online Sale Alert! Up to 30% Off Simply Vera

A little piece of Vera goes a long way, and right now that little piece is more attainable than ever! Her collection for Kohl's, Simply Vera, is currently on sale, which makes some of the tops and bags around $40!
If you need a good Fall coat, might I suggest this Simply Vera Vera Wang Long Textured Coat, $103 (originally $128). The short sleeves make it smart for layering over a long-sleeved top. Plus, I absolutely love the shape of the collar!
Found! Katherine Heigl's Red Pea Coat
Yesterday I came across this Juicy Couture Double Breasted Coat, $398, and was mesmerized by it. Today, I saw that Katherine Heigl apparently was too: she was wearing it at Advocate Magazine's party last night! The peter pan collar and gold buttons are especially adorable. Although she has way too much red going on with her Valentino bag, red Louboutin soles and the coat, she still looks like one scorching lady in red.

Fab Redux: O Jackie O!
Calling all Jackie O aficionados! Your former first lady of pill box hats, oversized sunglasses, and little skirts suits would proudly wear a silk shantung sixties A-line coat just like this one, which comes in a size medium; I doubt she would have paid $27 for hers though.
This coat is such a classic. Can you imagine how chic it would look with a little bit of hemline peeking out underneath? It would be beyond...
Marc by Marc Jacobs Colorblock Coat: Love It or Hate It?
This simple but bold Marc by Marc Jacobs Colorblock Solid Wool Twill Coat combines classic sophistication with some mod-tinged edge. The swingy shape is constructed out of simple black-and-white wool with big, playful buttons, and the scarf at the neck can be worn vertically across the front or wrapped around the neck for added warmth. Though I gave MJ a hard time for his rain boots on Tuesday, I really love this look. What do you guys think? Love it or hate it? If you want it as your winter coat, it's available for $568 here.

Burberry Metallic Donegal Coat: Love It or Hate It?
The fabric and the silhouette of this Burberry Metallic Donegal Coat are both really unexpected for the once-staid luxury label. Though it's made from old-school wool tweed, the coat has an edgy, modern look thanks to metallic accents and a broad rounded collar, cropped sleeves, and a feminine, high-waist belt. I think the shape of this coat is playful and also regal, but I also know that some of you really hate the bubble trend. So, do you guys love this or hate it? Tell me what you think below. The coat is available for a surprisingly reasonable price of $995 here.
