Get the Look: Coco Avant Chanel

When it comes to movies, I'm a sucker for beautiful sets and stunning costumes. That's partially why I'm so excited about seeing the biopic about Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel's early years, Coco Avant Chanel. Starring Audrey Tautou as well as many fabulous costumes, which were created by Catherine Leterrier, this film opens in the US in mid-September. I was so taken with the costumes that I decided to see how I could translate Leterrier's lovely creations to the home world.

Celebrity Style: Audrey Tatou

Isn't Audrey a vision in Chanel?

Isn't Audrey a vision in Chanel? At the Paris premiere of the hotly anticipated Coco Chanel bio-flick, Coco Avant Chanel, she wore a black-and-white floral frock from Lagerfeld's Spring couture collection. She contrasted the prim with a not-so-prim cropped black leather jacket. Swirly black leather Sergio Rossi sandals and a green cocktail ring make for unique accessories. We haven't seen our Fabcon in a while, and can't wait to see more premiere looks from the pseudo Coco.

FABTV: Coco Avant Chanel Movie Trailer

After much anticipation, the first Coco Avant Chanel movie trailer starring our fabulous Fabcon, Audrey Tautou, has finally released.

After much anticipation, the first Coco Avant Chanel movie trailer starring our fabulous Fabcon, Audrey Tautou, has finally released. The preview is in French, but that doesn't mean we can't come to our own conclusions about the plot. We do know it focuses on her earlier life, growing up and the budding stages of the house of Chanel. Judging from the steamy love scenes, crazy fights, and decadent clothes, I gather this to be an amazing period romance filled with action, love, and betrayal. But that's just my opinion. The film premieres in France April 22 and a US release date is still to be decided. Enjoy!

>> INSIDER WIRE —We've seen a smattering of stills from Coco avant Chanel, a biopic of Gabrielle Chanel's early years featuring Audrey Tautou as the designer, but the first trailer finally dropped today.  The film is premiering in France first — April 22 — before it hits the US later this year on a to-be-determined date, so unfortunately the trailer is in French with no subtitles.  But it does give a glance at the film-to-be .
