Rihanna, Miley, Beyoncé, and now Coco Rocha! The model took to Twitter and Instagram today to give a step-by-step evolution of her new pixie cut featuring shorter hair on the sides. Stylist Anh Co Tran was the man behind the big chop, but her husband, James Conran, also got a few snips in. We know Coco isn't afraid to take hair risks, considering she often changes her color from pink to brunette and back to red. And now she joins a slew of stars trying the undercut trend this Summer. See her go from extralong locks to short and sassy, and learn how to get her look, after the jump.
It was all about Summer fun for some of our favorite style stars this week as they took to social media to share their moments of work and play. Doutzen Kroes, Hilary Rhoda, Chanel Iman, and more models slipped into bikinis to bask in the sun, while Alexa Chung opted to stay in the city. Work duties called for Emma Roberts, who got glamorous to promote We're the Millers in NYC, as well as Cara Delevingne, who spent time on set in a wig. Speaking of hair, Coco Rocha got rid of most of hers — she chopped her mane into an edgy pixie cut and shared photos and video of the event on Instagram.
Time to get caught up on the week's candid moments from some of our favorite fashionable celebs! This week, Coco Rocha gave us a behind-the-scenes glimpse at her hair-raising photo shoot, while Chanel Iman busted out her best Beyoncé pose on the beach. Margherita Missoni showed off her baby bump in a sleek white dress, and Vanessa Hudgens showed us how to expertly pull off a pair of printed overalls. Chrissy Teigen worried that she was wearing kitten heels as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley hopped on the geek-chic spec train, and Karlie Kloss celebrated the big 2-1 with a fancy party alongside Derek Blasberg as well as a day at Disneyland with her dad — adorable, right?
Could Coco Rocha be the new face of "geek chic?" The self-proclaimed "gadget junkie" gave Google Glass a whirl while on assignment as contributing writer for PC Magazine. After spending an hour with the prototype and shooting an adorably enthusiastic video (above), the model added another suggestion for wearable tech (contact lenses!) and compared the sensation of wearing Google Glass to "sort of like the Wright brothers' flying machine — that we still have a way to go before we get to something more like a Lear jet."
Of course, the true commentary came in the form of a fashion roundup. Coco, who admitted to feeling "self-conscious" in the frames (not a good sign for us mere mortals!), suggested a partnership with "established eyewear designers such as Tom Ford or Ray-Ban to create something truly aesthetically pleasing that people would want to wear." After her Spring 2013 runway show, might we also suggest DVF throw her name into the ring!
"Tomboy" isn't a word normally associated with Zac Posen's designs, but his Resort 2014 collection for his secondary line, Zac Zac Posen, wanders bravely into that territory.
The collection, while filled with the kinds of cocktail and occasion dresses that are Posen's bread and butter, also includes a number of pieces with a decidedly masculine edge. For the collection's lookbook, model Coco Rocha donned a short red wig and posed in pieces like a green metallic motorcycle jacket and a Prince of Wales check overcoat and trousers.
Posen rounded out the collection with an array of his usual suspects: dresses with brilliant, body-conscious seaming cut from floral prints and solid pale pink and green, and full-length gowns perfect for injecting a little color into parties come the holidays.
Celebrities were buzzing on social media this week. Miranda Kerr struck a sexy yoga pose, Lauren Conrad showed off silly glasses, Kerry Washington gave us a behind-the-scenes glimpse from the CFDA Fashion Awards, and Rihanna dined with Azzedine Alaïa — all this and more in this week's fashion social media recap. On Allison: Club Monaco, Express.
The endlessly multitalented Coco Rocha has added another line to her résumé with a stint as a columnist for a magazine. But it's not a fashion glossy she's writing for. Instead, Rocha has joined the team at PC Magazine.
"It might seem a little strange to have a high fashion model write for a technology magazine, but I'm actually the kind of girl who'd rather buy a new tablet over a new pair of heels any day of the week," Rocha wrote in a blog post explaining her new job. "Hopefully in my column for PCMag you'll see the ways I think the worlds of fashion and technology can and are coming together."
That intersection makes sense for Rocha, who's known for her social media prowess — she was the first model to break a million followers on Google+, and she's been a featured speaker at technology conferences like the Bespoke Luxury Summit in Sydney, Australia.
Rocha's first monthly column, published earlier this month, is about 3D printing and how it might change the fashion industry.
"What I'd like to see in 3D printing is an increased number of wearable materials," Rocha writes. "I know that we are right on the cusp of a serious revolution in the way we buy, sell, and manufacture clothing, and I think if the right industry leaders jump on these opportunities, this could be a golden time in fashion."

Models, designers, celebrities, and more descended upon Manhattan this week for the 2013 Met Gala, and made sure to share their punk-infused snaps throughout the event. In addition to those high-glamour photos, we also got a glimpse of our fashionable favorites in their moments of work and play. Hilary Rhoda had an unfortunate spill on the set, while her fellow model Coco Rocha showed off her most-loved color of the moment. Cara Delevingne cozied up to Karl Lagerfeld in Singapore, and Stella McCartney made a special visit to Rihanna's concert in London. Also hanging across the pond was Nicky Hilton, who shared a cool candid snap in front of a classic British phone booth, while Bar Refaeli warned against the dangers of skinny dipping — alone.
Model Coco Rocha was seeing gold at this year's Met Gala. The brunette beauty matched her gold-embellished gown with a swipe of the metallic hue under her lash lines. New blunt bangs kept the attention on her eyes.

No look at The Kentucky Derby is complete without a hat. That was evident from this weekend's festive celebrity looks from Lauren Conrad, Krysten Ritter, and Coco Rocha, who finished their ladylike ensembles with coordinating headwear. Coco Rocha made an entrance in sophisticated skirt suiting — but it was the dramatic orchid-adorned headpiece that really turned heads. Krysten Ritter dressed up her floral-print dress and Bionda Castana heels with a floppy ribbon-trimmed hat, and Lauren Conrad paired a soft nude polka-dot sheath dress with a nude floral-adorned fascinator. That's the rundown on who wore what — now, take in the hat-topped looks below and cast your vote for the Derby's best dressed.
