Couture Fashion Week

Cameron Diaz brought out another glamorous look for the Valentino Couture Fashion Week festivities this afternoon. The actress has been popping up for runway presentations since the festivities got under way on Monday. She sat front row at Versace with Diane Kruger and posed with Bar Refaeli at Dior, but it was her stop by Armani yesterday that brought a fun surprise. Cameron and Jessica Chastain were seated together when Jessica received a call about her Oscar nomination for The Help, and the crowd responded with a standing ovation. Cameron took a break from the action just yesterday for a meeting at Givenchy's Paris offices.

Donatella Versace hosted at an exclusive dinner at Paris's Restaurant Lasserre on Monday to unveil the Versace Étoile De La Mer eyewear collection. Diane Kruger was one of the lucky stars to score an invite, and wore a wild cheetah and floral minidress designed by her host, Donatella. Inside, fashionable ladies like Salma Hayek, Anna Wintour, and Abbie Cornish tried on pieces from the line, which will be available in stores as of March. Oscar nominee Bérénice Bejo, from The Artist, also joined the celebration.




Diane's been front and center for many of the Couture Fashion Week events in recent days, starting with Donatella's Versace couture show Monday.She then moved on to Giambattista Valli's presentation and Chanel's Haute Couture extravagana. Salma and Diane are traveling in similar fashion circles this month, and were both on hand last night's opening of Prada’s 24 h Museum. The actresses partied late into the night and were entertained with a special DJ session from none other than Kate Moss.

Jessica Chastain was in Paris this afternoon at the Giorgio Armani Prive runway show when the 2012 Oscar nominations were announced — but when the news that The Help star had earned a best supporting actress nod broke, the fashionable French crowd gave the actress a standing ovation!

Today's Chanel fashion show brought A-list guests to the Grand Palais in Paris. Cameron Diaz continued making the rounds during Couture Fashion Week, and she was joined by Diane Kruger and Vanessa Paradis. All three ladies modeled Karl Lagerfeld's designs, and once inside, they took seats alongside other Karl favorites like Daphne Guinness, Alice Dellal, and Poppy Delevigne.

This was Cameron's third show since arriving in France. She kicked things off at Versace, then stepped out for the Dior presentation. Vanessa, meanwhile, has been avoiding any fallout from the Johnny Depp breakup rumors by sticking close to her French home in recent days. She stepped out last night for a premiere of her film Café de Flore, and was spotted shopping for home goods over the weekend. This morning's event was Diane's latest with Chanel. Diane attended the opening of their Numéro Privés at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas over the weekend and partied with the likes of Jessica Alba and Rachel Zoe.

She kicked off her fashionable run last Friday in Las Vegas, where she attended a Chanel bash at the Wynn Hotel. Diane popped up in France yesterday for the beginning of Couture Fashion Week, which she marked at Versace's presentation alongside Cameron Diaz. The stylish ladies were back in the front row for Chanel Couture this morning. Karl Lagerfeld showed a dark and decadent collection for Chanel's Fall 2011/12 couture show last night at the center dome of the Grand Palais. A stark contrast to last year's pastel-filled collection, Lagerfeld focused on darker hues, save for the occasional injection of dark beige and fuchsia, creating suit sets and gowns befitting of Coco's femme-meets-masculine style. Boxy, peplum-embellished suits made in the house's signature black and white tweeds took the forefront for daywear, while column gowns adorned with a mix of soft, feathery embellishments, beads, ruffles, and tiers provided a magical outlook on eveningwear.
