Marc Jacobs and Fendi introduced tea-length skirts on their Fall 2010 runways and the look was spotted everywhere in the crowd at New York Fashion Week. Contrast the modest hemline — we love the deep aubergine hue on the Sparkle & Fade skirt seen center — with a leather jacket and tough ankle boots for a modern vibe, or with a silk blouse and pointy-toe pumps for a lady-like approach.

One cool item up for grabs is this Vena Cava Dean Vest ($83, originally $276). It's minimalistic and a fresh take on the vest trend. It would be amazing with a gray tank and black trousers.

Inspired by founder Jade Lai and her globetrotting fashion adventures, Creatures of Comfort is a fab site that focuses on young international labels. A friend of mine was just visiting LA and told me about how much she enjoyed the flagship store and said I should check out the online store. Hard-to-find designers such as Emma Cook, Peter Jensen and Alexandre Herchcovitch can be found here. Also, Lai is debuting her own line this Spring.
