As far as festival wardrobes go, the Free People Spring lineup comes pretty close to perfect. First, it brought us a beachy shoot with both Crystal Renn and Ieva Laguna cast as bohemian muses for the April catalog. Now, its newly released festival-inspired lookbook (with Martha Hunt playing cool-girl-gone-hippie) provides a Coachella-perfect selection of gauzy maxi dresses, embroidered tunics, crop tops, and printed swimwear. In short, if you're packing your bags for the second weekend at Coachella — or gearing up for any outdoor concerts — this lookbook comes just in time to inspire you as you plan your outfits. Sure, these collections also look to romance and some retro bombshell-inspired styling, but any one of these pieces could take on that quintessential festival feel with the right pair of ankle boots. Get a glimpse of it all when you keep clicking.
It's a Supermodel Showdown at The Face Premiere
At last night's The Face premiere in NYC, the red carpet might as well have been a catwalk. The show
"mentors," including industry heavyweights like Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova, Coco Rocha, and Crystal Renn (who could have very well been giving a master class in runway form as they posed for cameras and air-kissed down the arrivals), glammed up to promote their new show — and showcase their own eventwear M.O. Naomi went the elegant, albeit sexy, route in a body-hugging Alaïa gown, while Coco Rocha played the more dramatic angle in a sheer Emilio Pucci gown. As for Karolina, the leggy blonde opted for a flirty, brilliant blue, fringed Dimitri dress — which proved a perfect option for showing off her stems. Step inside to see the rest of the glamorous arrivals face off — including an appearance from Victoria's Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo — then vote for the evening's best-dressed supermodel.
Celebrity Women Get Real About Body Image Issues
She may have won two Golden Globes last weekend for her HBO series, Girls, but lately the most-talked about topic in regards to writer, filmmaker, and actress Lena Dunham has been her weight, not her talent. Radio host Howard Stern is in hot water for calling Lena a "little fat chick." And while Lena told David Letterman last week that the comments "put me in the best mood," the 26-year-old has been honest that she's had a love-hate relationship with her body, despite displaying it so freely on her show. She told New York Magazine:
"It's a very specific body. Even great reviews will be like: chubby, portly, overweight. . . . Sometimes I'm like, 'Ugh, how did I make myself the guinea pig for this?' But on the other hand, hating my body has not been my cross to bear in this life. Which I feel very lucky about."
Several famous women have opened up about their struggles with body image and eating disorders. Katie Couric revealed on her talk show that she struggled with bulimia when interviewing another famous lady who's dealt with eating disorders, Demi Lovato. And Lady Gaga, who has faced criticism about her weight gain, launched a movement called A Body Revolution to encourage body acceptance. She said she started it to "inspire bravery," adding, "Be brave and celebrate with us your 'perceived flaws,' as society tells us. May we make our flaws famous, and thus redefine the heinous."
Many celebrity women have courageously talked about what they don't like about their bodies, their past eating disorder issues, and how they've overcome a negative body image. Let's be inspired to accept our bodies just how they are with these encouraging words now!
It's a Supermodel Showdown in Zac Posen — Hilary vs. Crystal
They may not have been in the same room, or even at the same event, but at their respectively glamorous NYC parties, both Crystal Renn and Hilary Rhoda opted for dresses by the same designer, friend Zac Posen. In fact, Hilary Rhoda not only wore his gown, but took Zac as her date to Harry Winston's dinner. Meanwhile, Crystal Renn, Zac's longtime friend and muse, opted for a brilliant fuchsia, bustier-style gown, offset with turquoise Lorraine Schwartz jewels for an evening out at the Angel Ball. Hilary kept it a tad more understated, choosing a sleek Fall-appropriate burgundy strapless and finishing with a side-swept bun. If you ask us, both supermodels did Zac Posen proud — but we're turning it over to you: who's the winner of this supermodel showdown?

26 Snaps of Crystal Renn in Honor of Her 26th Birthday
"I've always felt, in some ways, like an outsider. But that is the fashion industry," Crystal Renn has said. While it may be hard to believe that someone who has been featured in editorials for nearly every magazine under the sun, shot campaigns for everyone from Chanel to H&M, and counts the likes of Zac Posen and Coco Rocha as close friends could ever feel anything other than one of the gang, it's precisely that down-to-earth attitude that makes Renn so appealing. "I'd love to see [the fashion industry] open their eyes to the variety of women. That variety is what's beautiful," Renn — who has dealt her own much-publicized body transformations and is considered the world's most successful plus-sized model ever — has said. So, in honor of her 26th birthday, here are 26 snaps of Renn doing what Renn does best: looking glam and being herself.
Crystal Renn Snags Her First Cover as a Blonde
We're excited to bring you the best fashion finds, shopping stories, and style news from one of our favorite sites, Fashionista. Today, they're giving us a look at Crystal Renn's latest look.

When Crystal Renn dyed her dark brown hair and signature dark bushy brows white blonde the immediate response from fans and fashion fanatics was not so enthusiastic. An example from one of our commenters? "That's quite unfortunate."

Of course, it didn't help that Crystal inadvertently debuted her new blonde 'do after some pics of her on vacation in a wetsuit swimming with dolphins hit the internet. But, as she told us, "I didn't expect to have a fashion moment off of my vacation photos." Since those photos hit she's had many a fashion moment, including stepping out in a stunning Zac Posen number at the New Yorkers for Children benefit last week. At the benefit she told us she went blonde for "a project in the works" as well as just wanting a change and having a "Gemini moment."

Crystal Renn Smolders in Her First-Ever Appearance in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition
We're excited to bring you the best fashion finds, shopping stories, and style news from one of our favorite sites, Fashionista. Today, they're giving us a peek at Crystal Renn's Sports Illustrated swimsuit shoot.

YouTube sensation Kate Upton might have snagged the cover of Sports Illustrated‘s famed swimsuit edition this year (in the tiniest bikini bottoms we’ve ever seen), but one of our favorites, Crystal Renn, nabbed her first-ever spread in the mag. And she looks fecking amazing (you can vote for her for Rookie of the Year, hint hint). The spread was shot in Australia by Walter Iooss Jr. With Kate Upton on the cover and Crystal Renn inside, it sure is nice to see some girls with real asses and boobs on the glossy page.

Vogue Italia Put Three Plus-Size Models on Its June 2011 Cover
>> Franca Sozzani is putting her money where her mouth is with Vogue Italia's June 2011 cover. After devoting a special section to "curvy" women on the magazine's website (of those highlighted she recently said: "Why should these women slim down? Many of the women who have a few extra kilos are especially beautiful and also more feminine"), Sozzani has cast a trio of plus-size models for the magazine's latest cover. No Crystal Renn, the current "plus-size" model du jour, in sight — instead, Steven Meisel shot Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine, and Robyn Lawley in black and white, marking the first time plus-size models have graced the magazine's cover since the days of Sophie Dahl, circa 2000. Met Gala: Crystal Renn
Crystal Renn may have an oft talked-about figure, but she puts all gossip to rest in this incredible Zac Posen creation. The model donned the jet-black dress with a tiny bejeweled clutch, bright red lipstick, and a pretty amazing pompadour. The hair and makeup was very reminiscent of Posen's Spring 2011 show: dramatic, vintage-inspired and Parisian-chic. What do you think of Crystal's look?
