The Unstoppable Victoria Beckham

No burglary heist could slow down Victoria Beckham.

No burglary heist could slow down Victoria Beckham. The ex-Spice Girl and celebrity designer has proven she's got some serious staying power in the fashion industry, and not only with her highly coveted dress collection. Tomorrow, the self-proclaimed perfectionist will reveal her completely redesigned denim and eyewear collection — which is now under the sole control of Beckham — at Net-A-Porter, along with two short fashion flicks honoring the occasion.

“I plan on still being here in 25 to 30 years' time,” said Beckham. "It's about doing things gradually and building the brand in a strategic way. It's about finding the right time, the right team. With everything that I do, I will only do it after I’ve done all my homework. I really am a perfectionist, and I don't want to rush anything."

That said, Beckham's business has grown tremendously over the past four seasons. Industry sources estimate the designer's dress, denim, and eyewear business will do about $7.5 million in sales next year. Marc Jacobs even touted Beckham for her accomplishments and work ethic, stating, "She is someone who has always wanted to design clothes. She knows the body, she loves it and she’s working her ass off."

Victoria's fresh denim line will retail at $215 to $485; eyewear will range from $349 for acetate Wayfarers to $525 for metal flat-top sunglasses. Super hot. Can you believe she used to be bullied in school? What doesn't break you makes you stronger, right?

Victoria Beckham Takes Control of Denim and Eyewear Business

Victoria Beckham's overhauled and renamed denim and eyewear collections will debut tomorrow on Net-a-Porter.com along with two short films highlighting the offerings.

Victoria Beckham's overhauled and renamed denim and eyewear collections will debut tomorrow on Net-a-Porter.com along with two short films highlighting the offerings. Both collections, having previously been part of licensing deals under dVb, are now completely controlled in house and under the Victoria Beckham label along with a very popular dress collection.

“I plan on still being here in 25 to 30 years’ time,” Beckham told WWD of her fashion business. “It’s about doing things gradually and building the brand in a strategic way. It’s about finding the right time, the right team. With everything that I do, I will only do it after I’ve done all my homework. I really am a perfectionist, and I don’t want to rush anything."

Her hard work is paying off, as estimates place the Victoria Beckham dress, denim and sunglass business at $7.5 million in sales next year. Industry heavyweights—retailers and fellow designers—are also on the pop-star turned designer's side. As Marc Jacobs said during the recent WWD-sponsored apparel/retail summit, “[Victoria Beckham] is someone who has always wanted to design clothes. She knows the body, she loves it and she’s working her ass off. It’s too easy to say nobody who’s celebrated for something else shouldn’t do fashion.”

After four successful seasons, Beckham herself can finally stand up to naysayers with the two things that matter most in the business of fashion: "There have been people that have wanted to knock me that haven’t been able to because they haven’t been able to argue with the quality [of the product] or the sell-throughs.”

David Beckham — fútbol and our personal favorite Armani underwear extraordinaire — has opened up another area of expertise —fashion designer. Following in the stylish footsteps of his wife's popular dress collections, David took the initiative and approached James Bond, owner of cult sneaker boutique, Undefeated, on a design collaboration. The result? A Fall men's collection for Adidas Originals by Originals. The classic-American clothing collection includes leather, cashmere, and silk fabrics. The footwear collection is inspired by Adidas's iconic kicks. Sadly, David will not personally model since he already has an endorsement contract. Victoria is pretty busy herself — she's set to unveil her second Armani ad in NY next week — but we're sure she'll make time to celebrate her hubby's latest venture!

This Week's Fab Favorite: Victoria Beckham

You gotta hand it to her.

You gotta hand it to her. Even with Paris Fashion Week and therefore fabulous people bedecked in designer duds, I am smitten by Victoria's cool and collected navy monochrome 'fit. From her captain cap to her Louis Vuitton Luxotica heels, no one does monochrome quite like VB. She dusted off some zippered navy dVb jeans and revealed some sexy decolletage via a sheer navy tank. A femme navy cardigan added softness to the sharp ensemble. Leaving her London hotel, I'm dying to know where she went — shopping, perhaps? Nah, I bet she had some meetings to discuss her highly successful dress collection. What's your favorite part of this? My instinct goes with the funkadelic shoes, but the mad hat is an added bonus. Makes me want to raid my navy pieces all over again.

The future is so bright, may I remind you to wear shades? Special edition Celebrity Style in honor of daylight saving (Spring forward!), Paris Fashion Week, and the ever-cool Carine. Her dramatic white ensemble swung the fashion pendulum away from typical fashion-crowd black. There are touches of noir, of course, but also a glimmer of red via cute strappy red sandals. Savage aviators mean business, so dust your sunnies off, welcome Spring, and get down to it.

Fab Flash: Victoria Beckham and Roland Mouret in Cahoots

It's safe to say Victoria Beckham's dress collection is a hit.

It's safe to say Victoria Beckham's dress collection is a hit. In fact, her collection has already sold out in London. But, did you know that designer Roland Mouret had a hand in her sensational success? According to sources, a spokesperson for Beckham disclosed that Mouret assisted her through the whole experience — just how much is to be debated.

"Roland set Victoria up with his pattern cutter and also introduced her to his fabric suppliers," said a Beckham spokesperson. "There is no secret Roland has helped Victoria set up various aspects of her atelier in London."

An insider states: "It's been a bit of a joke as to how much Roland has been involved. The similarities between the dresses are undeniable." Meanwhile, Beckham's representatives insist that Mouret "had absolutely nothing to do with the creative process." There is a slight resemblance between Beckham's designs and Mouret's, but enough to differentiate the two. What do you think?

The first thing I thought when I saw Victoria Beckham leaving London's Heathrow Airport is, I wonder if she's wearing anything underneath that extraordinary coat.

The first thing I thought when I saw Victoria Beckham leaving London's Heathrow Airport is, I wonder if she's wearing anything underneath that extraordinary coat. Hot! The singer jet set to LA in a gray coat with gold buttons, a cool fedora, and of course, her Hermes bag. I admire that in the battle between comfort and sophistication, the latter always wins for Victoria. If you can't pull this look off on a plane, a swanky party is also a good venue.
