I will never tire of Daria Werbowy's amazingness. For Vogue Nippon's November issue, the Ukrainian-Canadian model strutted her stuff in an editorial dubbed "Girl of the Golden Field." Now this is how Fall dressing should be: cozy sweaters, sherpa-lined leather jackets, ponchos, boots, and fur coats. Daria continues to astonish me with her scintillating bod — boobage alert! — and piercing blue eyes. Of course, her hair is tousled to perfection – Bella, how can I get this look? Furthermore, the prairie backdrop is beyond beautiful. Keep clicking for more Daria action . . .

Balmain Turns to Military Sauvage for Spring 2010
>> With Laduree macaroons catered backstage and Rihanna arriving half an hour late to sit front row, Daria Werbowy opened (and closed, and walked in the middle of) the Balmain show — her only show for the season — in the gilded, marbled ballroom of The Grand Hotel.
Christophe Decarnin's strong shoulders and ripped jeans were still present, but gone were the '80s. This season, “it’s warrior women and the military, with a mix of different times and a touch of Mad Max," he told Suzy Menkes; stylist Emmanuelle Alt's personal style was prevalent as ever, particularly in the pants-and-jackets combinations.
Since Decarnin took over at Balmain in 2006, the brand's ready-to-wear sales have double each season, according to CEO Alain Hivelin, and next season brings an eyewear collection with Oliver Peoples. The brand's much-buzzed-about $2,000 jeans are priced as such because, Hivelin says, certain pieces receive hundreds of hours of embroidery or have been reworked up to 50 times before they hit retail. But here's irony for you: Decarnin picks up his own wardrobe at army surplus stores.
Fab Ad: Isabel Marant, Fall '09
I admit, I'm a bit disappointed with Isabel Marant's Fall campaign. For some reason, the designer swapped out the awesome Daria Werbowy for the newly married Milla Jovovich. The ad, shot by Inez and Vinoodh, pictures Milla — in the same exact pose — wearing Marant's delectable fur chubbies, velvet shorts, soft tees, tiered skirts, and luscious studded booties. Remember when Sienna Miller donned them during her G.I. Joe circuit? I love the clothes, but the ad doesn't do them justice. Call me crazy but there was something about Daria that embodied Marant's fun fashion, and Milla just leaves me kinda bored. Thoughts?

Girls on Film: Daria Werbowy and Co., Vogue Paris, August '09
Contrary to what was originally reported, Vogue Paris's August issue is not all about Daria Werbowy. Bummer. The Canadian shares the spotlight with fellow models Eniko Mihalik, Anja Rubik, Raquel Zimmermann, Lara Stone, Regina Feoktistova, and many more. Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin capture 64 essential Fall designer looks — some silly, some serious, some sexy, some demure. But all equally fab-u-lous, like Daria having a blast in Balmain (left). Here are more highlights.

>> Vogue Italia September Cover Hints, August 2009 Vogue Paris Not All Daria Werbowy —Yesterday, we got quite a few September cover star confirmations, but Vogue Italia was left out. Now, thanks to The Imagist, we have a few clues — September 2009 is set to be a "multiple cover extravaganza," each cover a standalone — "think compelling blonde (or two) weighed against a surprisingly unique choice of a brunette." Meanwhile, Rihanna — who Anna Wintour is rumored to have passed on — is said to have an upcoming VI editorial by Steven Klein. And as for August 2009 Vogue Paris, which was previously reported to focus entirely on Daria Werbowy, it seems that she's not exclusive: other models appear in the entirely Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin-lensed issue. Daria Werbowy Wishes She Didn't Have to Do Interviews
>> Ever since Daria Werbowy took three months off last summer to sail across the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, she tells the Telegraph UK she's "definitely changed" and is having having "an existential . . . not crisis, but wake-up. I'm asking more questions about life in general. It's like, 'Oh my God, there's a whole world of things to learn about.' So I'm just taking it easy."
She's not a fan of doing interviews — "I always tell Kate [Moss] she's lucky because she doesn't have to do interviews" — and she's considering studying philosophy or psychology. In the meantime, she has been painting and sculpting: "Whether that'll ever evolve into anything I don't know. I'm still trying to search for what will be next."
