Diamonds are a girl's best friend so it was no surprise to see Hollywood starlets rush to the red carpet for the launch of the Cartier Love Charity Bracelet. Let's get things started with Rihanna who lit the Empire State building in honor of Cartier Love Day. The singer is dripping in a jewel encrusted tiara, two Lotus rings, diamond stud earrings, a diamond dome ring, and a silk bracelet — all Cartier and all fabulous. Who else flaunted their bling? The other diamonds that blew me away Sunday night were Nicole Kidman's. She wore 375 carat rough diamond cuffs designed by L'Wren Scott, Nicole's stylist and now clothing and jewelry designer. Each of the cuffs contained 187 diamonds and represent a unique and fresh direction in diamond jewelry. You will notice the unusual 'arrowhead' shaped diamonds that are known as maccles. These stones are rough uncut diamonds from the Diamond Trading Company being shown in their natural state; these stones are typically found in diamond mines in Botswana, Russia and South Africa.
