Jordin Sparks went one part funky, one part romantic with her strapless rose-printed Debra Davenport dress. The asymmetrical bodice is a shape that we don't see too often — do you think it works?

All we can do is let out one big, long sigh--belly shirts, yes belly shirts, actually appeared on our computer screen this morning, but, we've said this before and we'll say it again: there were some pretty dresses. Our two major complaints with the Debra Davenport Spring 2009 show are not small ones. Namely, the clothing looks cheap, it looks like it came from Forever 21 and we can't see anyone spending all that much on things that look like so much less. Secondly, the trends were all wrong and the collection lacked concept. There were skirt suits that looked like they came from JC Penney and Walt Disney-like evening gowns (left), and of course, bikinis (it's perfectly okay to have bikinis in your collection but do they need to be sent down the runway?). It was one tacky outfit after another and none of it really fit together. There were, yes, some pretty dresses.
