Did you know that it takes $1.7 million dollars a day to operate St. Jude Children's Research Hospital? Even more astounding is the fact that no child is ever denied treatment regardless of his or her family's financial situation. Recently, Lancôme flew a group of online beauty editors (including myself) down to Memphis to visit St. Jude where we not only experienced a truly inspiring look behind the daily goings-on at the hospital, but interacted with the kids firsthand. What I found to be most touching, however, was the unbreakable spirit of the patients; children who are being treated for the unimaginable: pediatric cancer or other catastrophic illnesses. We owe Fab reader Megan Zietz a big thanks for reminding us of the basic rule to avoid outfit boredom: accessorize with bold color and prints. By adding purple shoes and a striped scarf to her classic jeans and blazer, Megan makes her totally chic outfit distinctive. We love purple and stripes, so here are a few easy accessories you can add right now, all under $100. Click items to buy.
If there's one time of year to bring out the big guns in your jewelry box, it's the holidays. And, as Ashlee Simpson demonstrates, major drop earrings make quite the statement. Dropped and jeweled, glittering and gold, this is elegant statement jewelry at its best. For the full effect, look for earrings with three to four jeweled sections on the drop, and big, bold-hued stones to play up the drama.
Avah's bright look instantly piqued my interest today. Check out how she showed off her true colors in a sunny cardigan, striped top, and skinny jeans. Down below, the cutie injected extra pizzazz with a pair of red platform sandals. Please come back and tell us where you got that snazzy studded bag!

I know it's hard to look good in the rain, but with a couple of key pieces, I guarantee you success. Take for example, Ginnifer Goodwin, seen left, at the He's Just Not That Into You premiere in Australia. The actress isn't going to let a couple of drops rain on her parade. Her swanky umbrella not only protects her citron Brian Reyes frock, it also makes a chic, functional accessory. I know you'd rather spend your money on clothes and shoes, but it's a necessary investment. After all, you don't want wet Manolos.
When in doubt and in need of fun, don a pair of shimmering silver shoes. This futuristic metallic is the perfect pizazz to lighten up your Winter garb. Take inspiration from Vanessa Hudgens and pair your sexy LBD with some silver heels. If frocks aren't your thing, try these out with a svelte pair of skinny black pants and a festive top. Perfect for a holiday party — is it that time already?!
