Dior is amping up the excitement in the days leading up to the release of Robert Pattinson's official campaign images for its Dior Homme fragrance. The brand teased us with a sexy GIF of Rob being watched by a woman as he walks in a trench coat as well as a slew of new images, which you can see below. The sexy snaps were crafted through a viewfinder ahead of their official release on Sept. 1. The previews from Rob's campaign are just the latest sneak peek since Rob was announced as the face of the brand back in June. We saw Rob's first black and white ad on June 13, followed by another teaser image of Rob in a bathtub one month later, and finally a steamy trailer of Rob's images was posted by the brand last week. We cannot wait until Sept. 1, but for now we'll have to settle for the hot sampling below.
Get excited because the new trailer for Robert Pattinson's Dior Homme campaign is here! Robert signed on as the face of the brand back in June, but it's only one of his smart career choices lately as he breaks from his Twilight heartthrob days. So just how is he growing into his career? We're looking at how Robert is positioning himself on the fast track to serious leading man status.
Dior Homme released the first trailer from Robert Pattinson's highly anticipated ad campaign, and it's sexy! We got a sneak peek of Rob's images from the campaign last month, and now the clip, which was created by Hedi Xandt with photographer Nan Goldin, features similar images of Rob, who was named the face of the luxury brand back in June, cozying up to a female model. He's also pictured watching a woman undress for the ads. Watch the video to see sexy Rob in action!
Dior shared a sneak peek of Robert Pattinson's new ad campaign for Dior Homme yesterday. The ad features a smiling Rob, who is sitting in a bathtub while fully clothed and chatting with a woman, whose bare legs are draped over the side of the tub. The new spot, which is being described by fashion editors as a "minimovie," will have a TV run in Europe (except the UK) and Asia (except for China and Japan). Sneak peeks of Rob's new Dior ads were revealed last month when members of the fashion press in Europe were given glimpses of the campaign. So far, the fashion house has only released one official print Dior Homme ad, which features a brooding Rob staring directly at the camera while wearing a sweater.
>> Raf Simons has been the artistic director of the women's division of Dior for a few weeks now but hasn't spent much of that time with his menswear counterpart Kris Van Assche.
Van Assche, seen above, hosted a party at the Dior men's pop-up store in New York this weekend and told WWD that he and Simons have "never been in the same place at the same time so we never got close. But I hugely admire his work."
Both men are Belgian designers who got famous for their innovative menswear, but Van Assche says that just because he and Simons come from common backgrounds doesn't mean that they have a similar aesthetic.
"I think it’s a bit of a cliché, no?" he said of that idea. He added that Simons's appointment is "great news. Let's just wait and see how he decides to express himself."
Simons was named as John Galliano's successor at Dior in early April. He'd been creative director of Jil Sander since 2005 but was ousted when Sander herself returned as the brand's designer. Van Assche was Hedi Slimane's first assistant at Dior Homme and left to present his first menswear collection in 2005. He was named design director at Dior Homme in 2007.
